Your lucky it's not a new Residents certificate you need from them. They say to allow a month and if it don't arrive, call them. What do you expect though when they only actually work around 16 hours a week? That's not even part time
Ju Averous the thread also seems to point out that they have a list of people known to be over staying in the areas they are visiting. One guy was in his garden and they happened to be driving by, saw him and done an inspection there and then.
The pattern also seems to be in out of the way, off the track places. We've had them in the condo here before. They turn up unannounced, get a list of foreigners from the JPM and simply knock on the door for a passport and visa check. They are nice enough and no problem. Just doing there job.
you can either get it an immigration office before you leave, or get it at the airport.
That actually reminds me of a post i meant to make regarding U-Tapao. They have many international flights out of there but i couldn't see anywhere there last week to buy a reentry permit. I'm not saying you cant BUT its only a small terminal and i couldn't see anywhere there to do it.
I think he should go to immigration. If he is, its just going to get more expensive. He also might be lucky, and get the 90 days minus what he's already had?
He's on overstay as he never cancelled the reentry permit and it wasn't picked up on. Before the saga with the guy who messed up his not getting the yearly extension of his PE visa and getting the ban, I would of swayed on the side of immigration possibly giving him the 90 day entry. Now I'm not confident they will.
