They called me all day today and I ignored their calls as I dont answer to unknown numbers, then they called my wife saying that they will visit us tomorrow. My neighboor has to be a witness. It's the 2nd time I am doing this visa... Just want to know if it happens to others too. Cheers!!

Ju Averous the thread also seems to point out that they have a list of people known to be over staying in the areas they are visiting. One guy was in his garden and they happened to be driving by, saw him and done an inspection there and then.
The pattern also seems to be in out of the way, off the track places. We've had them in the condo here before. They turn up unannounced, get a list of foreigners from the JPM and simply knock on the door for a passport and visa check. They are nice enough and no problem. Just doing there job.
