Is this an embassy specific requirement? Have not seen this requirement before.

It depends. Sometimes airlines have asked and sometimes they haven’t

Anonymous participant - is there a Thai consulate in a country near to the one you are residing in? If so, they may be responsible for applicants from your country. If they already use e-visa, you might be able to apply through the consulate in the neighboring county without traveling there (if it is under their jurisdiction).

- It is worth a shot, but things seem to change at a whim, so more documents you have available, the better.

I had heard several others mention this prior, that for some reason, some embassies want you to see transactions in/out. I supplied both my savings account (which has much more than 500K but no transactions) and then my checking account, which has hundreds of transactions but usually at max has 350K. - that worked for me, but different embsssy and not sure they cared

I dont think Immigration looks that deeply at date of issued and then takes the time to see if you were in country at that time. They will only look at the date to make sure it is valid for the current date you are crossing the Immigration worker's path.

- I first entered on my DTV in August, and I have already exited and re-entered twice, once for a conference in Vietnam and another for an in-person meeting in Indonesia. I will also be going to Korea for vacation in a few weeks.

Turnaround time is quicker in Vietnam, but Vietnam requires an appointment, which I believe are mostly booked up for weeks. Cambodia is only walk in.
