never seen that record low, or maybe i slept through it. Miami has many mornings in 50sF, some 40s, had frost on my windshield once. Bangkok much warmer

Ive lived in bangkok for 5 years and before that lived in Fort Lauderdale (near Miami) for 18 years. I’ll answer the climate question. Both have “winter,” hot, and rainy seasons. Bangkok Hot season hotter, but not that humid. Hot: Bangkok Temps low 80s night/hi 90s to 100 in afternoon; Miami 70s at night, about 90 in afternoon. Rainy: similar rain in both, warm temps but less than hot season. Street flooding more in Bangkok but can happen in florida, especially miami beach. Winter: coldest days in miami low in 40s hi low 60s; Bangkok low about 68, hi low 80s. Pollution and traffic much worse in Bangkok.

People get ed visas so they can stay in Thailand for awhile, but nor vice versa. Taking classes is fine, I’m enrolled at Rak Thai now.

true. From Thailand non O, change from tourist visa or visa free entry, no insurance required; from home country, Non OA, needs insurance.

I’ve been telling newcomers its “dangerous“ to visit Thailand because you might not want to leave

The insurance is useless. What you’ll collect in claims is little more than self insurance. If you can keep insurance from your home country, annual travel insurance, and accident insurance if they will sell it to you, its better. Get Non O visa

The tourist sim is a fair deal. Get one with plenty of data. Wifi here is extremely inconvenient to use. Kicks you out if you font make a keystroke for a moment, wont save logon info so you have to reentry passport number etc. Hotel wifi often useless too, so you want to tether your laptop. I did get 70 gb good for 1 year from AIS for my extra phone, but its slow.
