One can only say there is a higher than normal failure rate with ED and volunteer visas in your history.

It ia also causing problems with return entries for "tourists" without visas.

No sadly there is no exception for longstay visas.

And you are at the mercy of the customs officer and assigned values.

Without knowing what visa extension you are talking about, ED, non-b,retirement, marriage etc.

I am guessing, what you are trying to say is you applied and are currently under consideration.

If you are under consideration you are not overstay unless you were denied for some reason.

It s 90 day non-o visa based on retirement.

Then you apply for a 1 year extension of stay, not a visa.

Once you receive your new passport you will take it and the police report to your local immigration office.

They will put correct stamp in your new PP based on the information in the system.
