The form from the Amphur is the koror 2 and can only be up to 6 months old.

Of note is your "proof of income".

The US embassies do not issue an income certificate so you can only do it based on lump sum 800k the first year.

If this is your situation.

yes it does happen.

I've just encountered this with a Canadian who accidentally applied for it.

It's not what he wanted and they wouldn't change it.

He will of course be able to do a 1yr extension during any one of the entries, so that is the plan for him.

no one can tell you that.

It is all up to the IO you are in front of and the rules of the day.

In many cases they will warn you first, saying things like "you need the proper visa to live in Thailand"

But not always.

Things they may check:

*****
baht or equivalent cash

Accommodation proof

Ticket out of country

You take your chances, a plan B is not always a bad idea.

As
@Brandon ***********
said.

Keep it there until the 1 yr extension is stamped In and make sure it is back up, 2 months prior to next application.

You may use it at your own risk, as once you are under consideration there are usually no problems.

I recommend not.

it is because a large amount of ED visas (and volunteer)are used for stay in the Kingdom and not for legit study.

This has been publicly exposed to a larger degree lately and now is a sticky point.

no "they" do not call it that.

Possibly you do.

It is a TR60, 60 day single entry visa.

Which can be extended one time only for 30 days.

The extension is not included in the visa.
Chris *******
@Taz *********
okay because you cannot read.

I will explain to you, the visa is valid for 90 days, that is how long you have to use it.

The length of stay is 60 days.
