Totally worth it, I got $47,000 and a plan and endless spirit of adventure and motivation to start a new life in Thailand and I am pumped up. Last thing to do is sell my car and then Im immediately hopping on a plane and finding a home.
Wow it took me 48 days from America 😂 California Embassy in LA, I had to submit documents three seperate times and I even provided the same documents multiple times for them to look at them. One time it was my fault though, I had my money in an "Investment" Account instead of a "Traditional" account. That one time was my fault the other times they simply weren't looking at the documents I was sending them.
It's not that entry was uneventful, successful entry is a highly important event to report on and good for the community to know each and every situation. Personally, I want to know each and every person's experience denied and accepted all have high value for me
I feel this is unproductive negativity, and as a DTV holder I'm comforted anytime one of my fellow DTV holders get into the country without any problems at immigration. It makes me worry less
I put $17,000 in a Chase bank 🏦 I didn’t even have it in the bank for one month to have a statement, so I asked for a balance letter print out. The LA embassy said as long as it’s a traditional bank account with a bank letter head and the correct amount. Originally I had to resubmit because I had it in a fidelity investment cash management account which I thought was a bank account. I have a debit card 💳 and it’s cash 💵 but they want it in a traditional bank account not an investment or brokerage. I would still follow this persons advice to be safe. Good advice for sure 👍
Anonymous participant 712 Does this really apply to every bank branch in every city in every mall though for every employee at the bank, my understanding is if you just keep trying someone will say Yes I have seen it 100's of times
