My next 6 month DTV extension thing is due toward the end of september
6 months ago i just did a quick 1 day border bounce from chiang mai to laos
I am thinking of doing that again, to avoid the paperwork involved with the immigration office
But don't know how strict they are at the moment about this kind of thing
Am I perfectly fine to do it again? Or am i better off booking a couple of weeks vacation somewhere, then flying back in?
Any advice is kindly appreciated

TLDR : Answer Summary
The post discusses the user's intent to perform a quick border run from Chiang Mai to Laos for a DTV visa extension. They seek advice on the current strictness of immigration regarding this practice, comparing it to their previous experience. Comments provide reassurance that, with a multi-entry visa, they should face no issues and suggest that numerous others have successfully done the same recently. They advise keeping necessary documents handy, such as proof of funds, as a precaution.
Its not a border bounce for visa holders with multiple entry. That is a term used for people on visa exempts abusing the privledge, I would make sure you have proof of the 400k baht in savings they are asking to see that at immigration with the DTV and other paper work its random but id be ready to show your documents
People reported doing that run just last week. There have been adverts in Chiang Mai groups offering it for 2500 for DTV holders. No need for overnights etc
Not exactly a border bounce but since arrival in March ive left the country almost every 2 weektfor work. In fact never filled out a 90 day yet bc everything is always resetting. Never questioned or given a hard time yet
