I have around 30 entry stamps for Thailand in my passport over the last five years and my DTV still got approved. The very nature of digital working means that people travel in and out all the time. Mine were non consecutive and therefore not Visa runs, they had gaps between the entries because I went to the UK or India or wherever.

I know but in practice it’s hard if they want a residence certificate and I don’t have one

Not the cheapest, but seems to be the most hassle free. Those calling it a scam due to the high cost don't seem to understand that not everyone is looking to everything as cheaply as possible!! I know it is around 400B to do it myself and upwards of 4000B to use an agent but if they get it done, I am happy to pay!

FirstNameLastName I’ve gone with cost for convenience, I haven’t got time to stand around all day. I’m aware they’re charging me about 20 times more, but I’d lose more than that if I took the day off work!

I don’t think it’s a scam, it’s just paying for the convenience. I’ve been offered 4500 for the residency permit for example but it’s the least effort one where I barely have to move so I’d go with that. I’m sure many are cheaper but I guess it’s the service I’m paying for.

I remember when I did it seven years ago they told me I couldn’t have it because I was colourblind and couldn’t see red and green (I am definitely not colourblind!) so I applied again the month later and suddenly I passed the colour blindness test and was given a license. I wasn’t aware that you could be cured of colour blindness 😂

Do you think the offices outside of Bangkok are easier? I am happy to travel if necessary.
