I am happy to do it in person, but when I used to live here about seven years ago an agent came with me to do all the Thai things, and I just followed their instructions and did the various testing phases and then passed. I couldn’t have done it on my own because I didn’t speak any Thai at all. I’m not looking for a fraudulent license or for someone else to do it on my behalf, I just want the least hassle way of getting a Thai driving license even if that means simply being accompanied by an agent throughout the process. I have a full UK license so if that can simply be converted that would be ideal, or I can do the actual test properly at the DMV/DLT (with an agent helping me with the admin).

Anonymous participant 545 I’ve been on the move since 2011 so should be fine!

I plan to stay longer going forwards, but also, I thought 12+ upwards tourist entries a year would raise eyebrows. I’m in and out five times between now and Christmas alone.

Yes he did look at the paper copy of the DTV but didn’t ask anything about the TDAC (which I didn’t print or show on my phone, so maybe that’s truly digital unlike the e-Visa).

Why do you need a record of visiting Singapore? This is no different to if I fly to my home country (UK) and get no stamp and then come back to Thailand. Neither of Singapore or the UK would result in a stamp in my passport.

They care more about the 500,000 balance than about how much you earn, which is weird, as you could spend it all and have no income to replace it. But that’s what they want to see. Don’t question it too much.

Anonymous participant 814 No, but my driving licence with my current address wasn’t enough. They specifically said three months of utility bills, suggesting gas and electric, but also said “etc” so I sent my phone bills as I don’t pay for gas or electric in my name.
