More restrictions on entering Thailand coming our way...

I'm looking at the vaccine requirements and I have first shot Moderna, second shot pfizer but mine were 8 weeks apart. Where do I go from here?

I know there is restrictions on UK citizens from entering Thailand due to the covid variant.

My question is: was there also restrictions put on South Africans from entering for the same reason?

I am currently under lockdown in South Africa. My retirement visa expires on 20 May 2020. Thailand closed the entry of foreigners by air till notified differently. My question is, what do I do if I cannot make the deadline of 20 May? Do I have to go through the whole application process again? You advice would be appreciated.
