Sadly, some people, who are well settled here with a family and so on, don't have the money and need to go the agent route. So 1,250 a month or so is not a problem, but the 800,000 baht is.
A BKK agent will do it for 14k. 25k is a diddle, and that agent is Nissan who I have used in the past. It's 14k a year after the first year. I don't know what his initial setup cost is, but maybe it's that 25k.
well, a large Chang here is the equivalent of about £1.50 and Tesco in the UK sell them for about 99p or 40 baht. That’s after a 6,000 mile journey so no, beer isn’t cheap here at all.
So my eldest son who wants to come with his wife and two adult children will have to have £51,200 in the bank for six months beforehand? Totally unviable for almost everyone. Typical lack of joined up thinking again!
Well, you won't be able to anyway. And have you seen what's happening in Thailand? It's not a good time to think about moving here at all, especially with such little knowledge.
Wait a few years until the economy starts recovering.

Please note that the only viable job you can get in the short term is teaching English. That is unless you can find work with a US or other company based in Thailand. That would be better researched in the States to see who has offices here. It's highly unlikely you will get a job in sales because you don't speak Thai.
