I have been trying to get a tourist visa for Thailand, but the embassy/consulate here in dubai says that they are issuing any tourist visas, even the agents dealing with travel and tourism are giving the same statement.
even though they dont allow booze ..make sure its well hidden if they do decide a search..in the hotel.. remember the thai government strongly believe that alcohol causes covid therefore its banned ..along with dirty foriegners 🤣🥂🍻enjoy
we have a daughter son in law, and 3 grandbabies that want us there, so fortunately that's where we go...

For anyone thinking travel is a good idea for 2021... have fun lol.
Zzyzx *******
I live in a shit show called Los Angeles ,California and I can tell you there are more cases within a 2 mile radius of my house this week than Thailand has had in 11 months. Riddle me this Batman
There hasn’t been a case of local transmission of Covid in 7
***
months in Thailand there are zero cases except the ones that come in from quarantine. Why wouldn’t somebody want to get out of a shit location to go to paradise. You should think about it Todd
I can only say that the only Covid cases in Thailand are from people entering the country is an absolute fever dream. Those are the only ones being tested. I am not saying Covid has been a disaster in Thailand in any way but the official stats are sooo suspect. How many people die in the villages without testing or a reason of death recorded?
😂😂😂 I thought about it in March when the smart people were thinking big shooter. Moved here then. What the hell were people thinking would happen lol? I’m pointing out the many nuances of travel today. It’s no longer easy. Far more complicated, uncomfortable and risky. Yes - I agree, why is anyone staying in USA with a tidal wave of Covid bearing down? But the time to consider that was feb/mar.
still spreading your pompous brand of petit bourgeois superiority inspired by (well who knows what but it must be some kind of inferiority complex, mental or physical). Anyway you haven’t been missed. And btw I didn’t tag you, so why do you feel the need to reply? (Oh wait, see the above).
‘desire to natter’. Dude stop hanging out with your granny, telling people off for choosing how they want to live their lives ‘oh you shouldn’t be travelling now, how stupid. If you were as clever and boring as me you would have decided all this in March’ and get a life and then I might have respect for you. And, as I remind you, you weren’t tagged in this comment so why do you even care? Weird. Sad.
🤣🤣🤣 I think you need to buy a mirror mate. 'Matrons of Thailand', you really are locked in the 1950s aren't you? I'm afraid using phrases 'cuz' isn't going to convince anyone you're under 60. Bless you, your delusions are actually quite funny.
I’m going to bow out now because I’ve got a lot better things to do than waste time with a self righteous tosser (you’re going to have to look that word up because it’s not a word that elderly boring Canadian men are generally familiar with except in the literal sense, plus I know you don’t have much to do). But seriously dude - get a life rather than spending your time telling people - who are much more interesting than you - off on FB ( I realise the irony here 😁). I know you’ll reply because you are one of those tedious insecure guys who always needs to have the last word (bet you were SO SO much fun in work meetings before you permanently retired😩). But it’s over and out from me 🤘🏼
thank God! 😂 It’s a safe bet ur not going off on a second date with anyone, so assume ur running late for your meeting 🐄 or topping up at the liquor store? Have fun! (If you need some anger management help, I met a girl who can help)
told you so 🤪. Yeah I can see you’re the kind of guy who calls women ‘girls’. Or maybe she was a girl, I can totally see that being the case too given the way you come across
😂😂😂😂 ur hilarious. ‘I’m gonna bow out’ or ‘but from me it’s over and out’. 😂😂😂 Except you can’t keep your oversized yap closed, which is why you arrived here in the first place. At least can respect people who can keep their word...
wow you really are an angry little man aren’t you? Just take a look at those emojis. 🤩Seriously- calm down, at your age it’s not advisable to get worked up. ‘Keep your oversized yap closed’ yeah, that’s just the way I expect someone like you to speak to people/women. You are patronising and rude, I arrived here exactly the same way you did dude - by making a. comment. Now calm down deary.
availability of flights, increased cost of flights (some), risk of getting locked down in transfer nations, complications of return flights, cost of insurance, practicality/availability of health care in host nation in event of infection, positive test on arrival and quarantine, annoyance of quarantine, long hours on a plane fully masked as above, additional administrative load (COE or similar depending on nation), increased risk of exposure on flights and in airports, possibility of extended lockdown in your visit country. Stuff like that 🤷♂️
For context, I have been travelling full time for last 87 months. Am I leaving Thailand in next 12 months? Highly unlikely. I think people just need to adjust their sites on how we travel
Flying to Thailand, yes. I just got to Bogota last week. From the US flights were under $100. Hotels are empty and dirt cheap, tourist attractions are empty, roads are empty, wonderful time to travel imo. Southeast Asia is its own thing though.
same here of course. Hotels empty, villas 80-90% off pre-Covid prices. Has never been a better time to be travelling inside Thailand.
Agreed Mexico and south has easy access at this point, but if their number of cases continues to go crazy, lock downs could be quick. If I was on that side, I would be home in Mexico or Colombia also. Medellin and Cartagena both great. Have fun

What a messed up world we are now living in with this degree of stupidity.....
