I ran a (specialized) Thai visa group once. During COVID, helping people who were trying to get back to their lives or partners in Thailand. Now I just help out this and other groups as best as I can and have spare time. But feel free to reach out to the admins or mods here.

I doubt there is any real experts on the DTV at this point - given how fresh and new it is. But I dove into both the LTR and this DTV as as deep as I could for now - out of my own needs and interests. If I can assist with anything specific, feel free to drop me a line.

Nope. Not an admin or mod of this group. Though I was considering offering my help to this group in such a role. But yes, I have plenty knowledge of visa, Thai bureaucracy, and digital work. How can I help?

In theory, yes. But I personally would not risk that. I would go a few days early - just in case. In most cases it works fine - but at some (land) borders cases were reported where they made people stay a night.

It was never technically illegal to "administer" some business back home (while on vacation 😉) - nor ever pursued in Thailand. You will be fine as long as you don't work serving anything or anyone in Thailand. You can swap to DTV in September, then, if you wish.

If you do that once, you will be fine. But if you try to do that several times in a short amount of time (especially when staying close to the full 60 days each), problens when trying to cross the border can occur.

Yeah. Not sure why. But it is like this for many years. Since the E-Visa system they ask for this with every visa application. Maybe, because it has got the current home address in Germany printed on it.

@Tommy ****
Yes. In countries participating in the E-Visa system, it will be an E-Visa. In other countries, it will be a paper sticker. But Thailand aims at rolling out E-Visa globally now.

Depends on your consulate / locaiton. In Germany, our national ID card does the trick. Other countries: driving license, utility bills.

I am sure many will try. But I would wait for the respective consulate near you to publish more details about requirements. I doubt that a one day cooking class will qualify for a 5 year visa. From what I have heard, any course / class of at least 6 months length might.
