I am planning on staying 150 approx and it appears to me that I have two options if I do not get a visa prior to arrival.

1. 60 day visa on arrival followed by a border run and finally a 30 extension.

2. 60 day visa on arrival followed by a 30 day extension then a border run. This may have the adavatage of another extension if things go pear shaped.

Any advice will be appreciated.

Hey guys, I was wondering if anyone had experience with the soft DTV from London / UK??

how many monthly statements did you need to provide for the 500k thb, and does the soft dtv also have the same income requirements as the full remote worker dtv?

I was considering an Ed visa for muay thai but this seems a much better option with multi-entry..

I got my DTV but I'm not sure how it works when I exist Thailand during the 180 days.

First, do I need to do anything when leaving during the 180 days? Or is it the same normal process as in all other visas?

Second, when I come back during the 5 years visa, do I get another 180 days or do I continue from the last day counting that I had before leaving? So for example if I leave after 80 days and come back, do I get a new 180 days or just 100 days (to continue the count I had before leaving)?

Hello dear DTV'ers,

I wish to share my experience as I hadn't read a clear guidance on what happens when we leave Thailand while on the DTV visa. Yes, we know that it's a multi entry visa, but here is the interesting twist that I can confirm ( At least from my experience).

I first arrived in Thailand on August 2nd, expiration date: January 28 2025. Then I left the country for about 10 days in October. Entered Thailand on October 16th...my new expiration date is April 13th 2025. I find this situation very interesting as we also have the choice of renewing once a year with immigration(we'll see how that goes). One question is still unanswered, 180 + 180 (renewal)= 360, if we choose this path, what happens with those 5 missing days to complete the year?

I hope that this post will help put a little light with this fantastic visa.

Cheers

Hello,

Is it true that if I get DTV and not use 180 days, let’s say only 150 days and then come back to my country and reenter Thailand next calendar year clock starts counting again? If yes this can be done through whole validity of the visa (5 years)?

Thanks,

P.

In the UK at the moment and just received my new UK passport.

My retirement visa and multi entry are in my old passport which I also have.

Where and when will this get transferred to the new passport?

When I return and do the 90 day report or before?

Hypothetical: I have secured the DTV and live here for a year or so… I then decide to move to another country for a couple of years before moving back to Thailand.. do you think the DTV would still work?

I’ve got no plans that far in advance just curious as 5 years is a long time.. the last 5 years I lived in Bangkok 2019 for 2.5 years and Sydney for 2.5 years before moving back to LTOS!

Hi all you helpful people. You've probably been asked this question a thousand times on this site . I've been to Thailand over the last six years on a multi-entry visa six months. So now with the 60 day and the 30 day extension I'm thinking 60/30 days leave Thailand a few days to Singapore arrive back in Thailand this is the question I'm assuming you get another 60 days and extend for another 30 days so all together 6 months and then return to the UK
