I’m leaving Thailand to go to Hong Kong tomorrow and will return some time next week. As I understand, I don’t need a re entry permit, and may be asked for proof of funds & to show a copy of my DTV certificate.

Is there anything else I should be aware of/bring with me?

Hi everyone, I’m currently on an ED Visa and will be leaving Thailand in March and re-enter shortly after a week.

I have two questions:

1) Upon re-entry, do I still need to show proof of accommodation, a return flight, and 20k THB in cash?

2) For my renewal next year, I’ve to leave the country and re-enter as a tourist to apply for a new ED visa. Is this likely to cause issues at Immigration? Has anyone had trouble coming back in as a tourist immediately after an ED visa?

Thanks in advance for the advice!

Good evening, my wife and I have been living in Thailand on OA visas since the beginning of July. Last night, my wife came back from a trip to Japan and was asked for evidence of insurance for her visa. Fortunately, I was waiting in the Arrivals area and sent her a pdf of the certificate. They also wanted to see the e-visa, which she had a copy of and a third document, which she doesn't remember.

I was surprised that they needed anything given the stamp in her passport and the fact that we did the first 90-day report shortly before she went to Japan, but can anyone tell us what the third document we need to produce at immigration is, please?

Thanks in advance m

What happens with soft power after you finish the course?

Can you go out and back again the following year without a booked class?

Do they question you?

Hi everyone! I first entered Thailand on August 31st on my DTV visa, and I’ll be leaving on December 1st after using it for 3 months. I plan to re-enter in January on the same type of visa (for my Soft Power Muay Thai training).

Can anyone please tell me what the requirements are when I re-enter?

• Do I need to show proof of accommodation and other documents again,

or can I just enter without any problem since it’s the same visa type?

Would really appreciate any advice or recent experiences — thank you! 🙏🇹🇭

DTV Border Run?

Hey everyone. I’m nearing my 360 days for my DTV, all my 90 day check-ins, and my 180 day extension were all done to the exact dates, and everything is in order.

But I’m wondering if anyone has had any issues leaving Thailand and returning back with DTV?

Can I do a border run? Do I have to be out of Thailand for a certain amount of time? Do they re-check credentials when re-entering?

Any insights would be appreciated 🙏🏼

Those who have DTV soft power visa. Do you need to book an additional course after documents for the first expire? And does immigration ask for course documents during re-entry?

Many courses are sold for 6-12 months, so I’m wondering what to do after documents for course expire.

Hi everyone question for those here on a DTV… I was just told that when you leave out of the country for your 6month trip to exit that when reentry comes about they ask you to show your 500,000tbh again someway before they let you enter back in. Anyone that has already did their 6 month reentry could give some insight that would be awesome. I’m prolly will have it in there but that seems outrageous to ask to see my bank account or bank statement on the spot or is that normal ?

Hi everyone . I have a valid DTV visa and will be leaving Thailand and re-entering by land soon.

Last time I re-entered by plane, immigration didn’t ask for anything other than my DTV visa. It was quick and smooth.

This time, since I’ll be entering via a land border (VIA Padang Besar, Malaysia) I just wanted to ask:

Has anyone ever been asked to show proof of funds when re-entering with a valid DTV visa?

And if so, would a brokerage investment account be accepted, or does it need to be a traditional bank account, like what was required for the initial application?

Thanks for any firsthand experience or advice!
