I almost got rejected, here is why:

-11 month spent in Thailand as a tourist

-4 covid extensions

-Back to Thailand with visa exemption after 11 days outside the country.

Here is how I avoided to be sent home:

-showed my bank accounts with lots of money in savings and no incomes from Thailand

-showed my condo rental contract

-called my girlfriend

-2 hours of saying « sorry I didn’t know I did something wrong »

They believed I was working illegally.

Hello,

I was in the same situation. I just came back Thailand after 10 days in my country. Big hassle in Bangkok immigration. You have spent 2 month away, it should be better for you. Make sure you have enough money as you may have to show your bank account.

To follow up on this.

I just came back to Thailand after 10 days home. I had a very unpleasant 2h discussion with immigration officers in BKK. They wanted to deport me, I had to show my money, bank accounts, condo rental contract, called Thai friends who vouched for me.

Eventually, they gave me 30days and a warning that it’s the last time I enter Thailand with visa exemption or a TR visa. They put me on a watch list and threatened to blacklist me for life if I come back with TR or exempt.

They told me my options now are Elite, work visa or married visa. For ED visa, they threatened to watch me and deport me.

Hope this will help others who might be in the same situation.

I can not. Immigration does not give re-entry permit for the Covid extension.

I am in the same situation but living Thailand soon on the 23rd of December. Do you know if one can apply and get the 2 month extension just before the deadline ?

everything went smooth. It seems hotels and embassies are used to the process.
