Iโm willing to come to Thailand under a tourist visa and I am already aware of the requirements.
Anyone here has already gone trough the process recently and could tell me how long it took to organize everything ?
Is a timeframe of 4 weeks enough for it? Once there, is it still feasable to switch legally to a long-term visa afterwards ?
I would highly appreciate your feedback ! ๐๐ป

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking information on the organization time required for obtaining a tourist visa for Thailand, specifically asking if four weeks is sufficient. They are also inquiring about the possibility of switching to a long-term visa once in Thailand. Responses indicate varying experiences, with one person stating it took them two weeks to organize their tourist visa from France, while another reported it took less than a week through the Chicago consulate, noting that a Certificate of Entry (COE) took two days.
I needed 2 weeks to organize everything in order to get the tourist visa from the Thailand embassy in France. Later, I will switch to an ED visa in order to stay longer.
Hi, Iโm currently staying in Vietnam and I am looking for other options in Asia. Iโm not sure about the right visa to use for the long term. Maybe the Elite one, as I am not willing to work in the country. But I guess it would be easier to see the options once I move in.
