I needed 2 weeks to organize everything in order to get the tourist visa from the Thailand embassy in France. Later, I will switch to an ED visa in order to stay longer.

What are the differences between Tourist Visa and STV in Thailand, and can I extend them?

I had the same dilemma, I chose the TR because:

-Insurance is cheaper

-I will be able to convert it to an other visa while in Thailand

-The STV will be discontinued in October
