Peter Northeast Ditto, they've been outstanding to work with. Never any problems, and their staff have been delightful every time I've gone in for visa-related paperwork or anything else.

I bailed on Wise and use Remitly now - I get my money into BKK in seconds, every time. Rates aren't quite as good as Wise though. Wise has been so slow recently!

we’ve had nothing but good experiences with Bangkok Bank but unfortunately not everyone has.

Speaking to the Non-O w/retirement extension option...if each of you want your own Non-O visas/extensions, then each of you will need individual accounts. If you want to come in as a dependent spouse under your husband's Non-O, then only he needs an individual account. You of course can get your own account, but for Non-O visa purposes doing the primary/dependent spouse option, only one individual (not joint) account is required. And what Mel said above concerning the risk of the primary/dependent is definitely worth taking into consideration.

I don't bypass the criteria, but for those that do, yeah, that's not legit. I follow the requirements to the "T" - always my own money in the bank, always staying within the guidelines of balances, etc. I'm just lazy when it comes to going to immigration and doing all the paperwork, hence my paying someone else to do that for me.

Sure you can. I do. Mine's awesome, honest, and legit. Been using them for years, and their fees aren't like what others have mentioned for the scammers. One must be careful though in who they go with.

The Non-O visa we got didn't require a background or medical, so I'm sorry I can't advise on that. There's an "O", "O-A" and "O-X" forms of this visa/extension. I went with the "O" which was simplest. I think the O-A and O-X have the other requirements per this website:

That's correct, she's a dependent on mine, which does not require that she have separate funds. She does have her own bank account, but not to support our visas+extensions. That said, some people choose to do a Non-O for each spouse, without one spouse being a dependent of the other. That would of course require separate funds for each spouse. One 'pro' for having separate visas/extensions and funds for each spouse is that if something happens to the leading spouse (they pass away), the dependent spouse doesn't have to leave the country and get their own visa/extension.

We did our initial 90-day Non-O in the US. We had been here prior to that on the old STV from covid days, but couldn't convert that to a Non-O in-country, so made a quick trip back to the US to get that Non-O visa and do a few other things before returning. Pray it all goes smoothly for you, and welcome to Thailand when you're able to arrive!
