Looks like WISE dropped the category for "Funds for long term stay in Thailand " or words to that effect. Just did a transfer and didn't have that as a reason. Everyone I have done so far this year had that as a reason. I believe though that isn't really necessary for a renewal on a marriage extension of stay.

My wife and I plan to retire in Thailand early next year. I am now sorting out all the details.

What is a good way to actually transfer funds to a bank for meeting the deposit requirements? I assume my current bank would do that, but I think there are pretty steep fees involved. Is that what most people do or is there a better way? I am in the US BTW.

Hi, question regarding Thai banks. When I send a Wise transfer to a Thai bank account, does the recipient's bank charge them a fee?

But I have read accounts that some people say this would not be recognized and I need to use Wise to transfer as they have a box that stipulates what the money is for? Have people bee rejected for transferring money directly from their home country bank account to Thai Bank?
