I'm looking to apply for the DTV within the next couple of months, My bank balance dropped below the 500k thb threshold for a week down to 460k thb, but will now remain above it (by a considerable amount) until I actually apply. Will this have an impact on my application?

I actually haver a different account with a positive balance that would more than cover the period it dropped, would this be able to be taken into account?

Hi everyone,

One question about the funds.

When you attach your bank account statement, does it have to show the last 3 months movements?

I mean I'm not very happy to show all my expenses and incomes, it is a bit intrusive.

Many thanks

My bank account balance for the last three months has been around 16,000$ 17,000$, and 18,000$. It's more than 500,000 baht, but not significantly more. Is there a chance of getting a visa with this amount, or do they require much larger sums?

Just wanted to give a heads up: my partner received his DTV just before Christmas and I noticed it says:

Remark: Remote Worker

I got my DTV back in September 2024 and it doesn’t have a “Remark” line or any mention of what type of DTV I have.

I know in the past people here have asked whether the visa mentions whether it’s soft power, remote work or medical. It used to not mention it, but apparently it does now. Just figured some people would like to know 🙂

EDIT: Seems like it’s embassy dependent, so at least we now know that the Spanish embassy does this.

Is it mandatory to have a hotel and flight booked in TH prior to submit the application?

First I need to know if my visa will be approved, then I plan my trip. It's a common sense.

I'll be applying workcation from my home country in case it matters.

The user manual.pdf from their website mark accomodation and flight as mandatory, but the examples are for different visas, such as tourist and diplomatic visa.

Any clarification would be helpful.

Thank you

Hi all,

when applying for DTV under workation category how long do you need to hold a remote work to be granted visa? Am I good to go if I started this job in the previous month? Can you share your experiences?

Seems that some embassies dont see dental clinics as a clinic towards the softpower medical treatment option.

Have anyone had their dental treatment approved in hanoi? And if you did, what papers did you provide?
