Hi everyone! We're finally in Thailand with our DTV, entry was really smooth no dramas at all. We printed out the e visa but they didn't even look at it :) All has been great and we've been enjoying the food and weather and of course people so far! Have had little trouble fumbling between different payment methods and never got the tagthai (as recommended by some) because cash seems to still be the way to go! We're getting mixed advise about opening a bank account and luckily for us, we secured a 6 months rental this week! Anyone has experience opening a thai bank account, if so, which bank do you recommend? Will having a rental agreement make it easier even on a dtv visa?
Quick question, we are moving over in August and im upto date on getting bank account no problem. I read today that for your extension that they need a rental agreement for 6 or 12 months to apply for there extension.
We are having a house built and are only renting for 4 months? Hopefully if it's finished on time. The person who wrote it did not say from what visa he's extension was for.
Mine will be from NonO married.
Will 4 months rental be okay or will my house build contract be okay.
I understand each IO will make there own decision. I will be doing this in Hui Hin.
Hi i am doing my first extension on my non o on monday i have gathered most of my papers apart from the obvious bank statement etc. i have a rental aggrement and a copy of the house owners blue book and id card. Do i need to take the original blue book with me as well. thanks in advance.
Would anyone be so kind to share a recent list of requirements for ret. Non O annual extension? I realize it might be different than my office but Im not currently there and want to prepare what I can ahead of time.
Just retired with TP Gold visa and now getting all the paperwork sorted out for a long term stay
Got 10 year rental agreement for a house and got issued yellow house book and pink id card at the local city administration (Amphur)
Next step is drivers license, need to take a test and get a medical certificate but think the TP visa plus pink id card and yellow book is ok as documentation basis for application
Just one question if anyone should have same issue, my rental agreement and yellow book does not show same address. Owner of the rental house is not very cooperative so relatives of my late wife (I am now single and intend to stay single) organized it on their blue book. It included interview at the Amphur and some paperwork. I was informed at the city office that the 2 addresses don’t have to match as many Thais are registered one place but have actually moved and live/work in another place
Any comment or advice anyone, I was married for 37 years and the wife took care of everything, now I’m on my own and need all the advice I can get
Immigration in Hua Hin told me to get 101 baht duty stamps for my rental agreement which is needed for Marriage visa, where do i buy the stamps? They told me somewhere but I forgot where
