I’m Currently a WP holder for 1 year now and my Bangkok Bank account got frozen. They are requiring a Certified copy of your U.S. passport endorsed by the embassy. My suggestion don’t use Bangkok Bank. No other bank has that requirement.
Hello! Is there somewhere I can begin or a document I can read with beginner knowledge? I am thinking of relocating to Thailand in the upcoming year but have no idea where to begin especially regarding the Visa process. I am 40 years old, I have a U.S passport and I would like to relocate long term.
I am applying for the dtv online in Los Angeles. Under travel documents, I selected passport. It asks for Place of Issue. Does anyone know what I'm supposed to put here? Do I put Los Angeles? Or USA? Or do I put what it says under Authority which is the United States Department of State. Thanks in advance.
Hello! Can anyone advise if it’s better to apply for the DTV visa using my Taiwan passport rather than my U.S. passport, especially if I’m applying FROM Taiwan? I’ve been using my U.S. passport to travel in and out of Thailand, but I wonder if using my Taiwan passport might offer any advantages in this application process.
Hello, I entered with a U.S. passport, assumed I could stay for 90 days with the extension process. Due to poor information, now I need to get a 30 day tourist visa. How do I get a visa while in the country ? Thai immigration told me to go to the U.S. Embassy in BKK, but their web site says they dont issue these visas.
So I went to Bangkok bank close to where I live with the purpose of transferring my account from where I first opened it to where I now live. After much talking of the bank employees amongst themselves I was told because I have a U.S. passport I would need to bring information from the Thai tax authorities can anyone help me understand what they need?
Hey, been starting my research on my trip in Oct and want to stay for a bit longer than 30 days. Im visa exempt (US) and am planning on getting an extension while there. What im unsure of, is whether my outward ticket will be okay being passed the 30 day mark or is it necessary to be within the initial 30 days?
Also, would it be better to just go on a border run rather than extending? Trying to minimize the risk of messing anything up and ensure that my trip goes smoothly.
