Our family will be visiting Thailand. We will be bringing my infant son (Thai/American). He doesn't have a Thai Passport yet. can he enter with his Thai mother using his U.S. passport without a visa or will a visa be required?
Answer summary
Your infant son can enter Thailand using his U.S. passport under the visa exemption program, which currently allows for a 60-day stay. It's important to note that he can receive a stamp for entry at no cost. You should also fill out the Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) for both of you, as you are entering Thailand as American citizens.

He can enter visa exempt on his US passport, and extend by 30 days if required, no problem.
We will be staying over 30 days I am anticipating the change in the visa exemption scheme and would rather have the appropriate visa, if needed, before departure.
Since your son is using an U.S. Passport just like you, he will make Entry into Thailand the same way you are, unless you already have a Thai E–Visa PDF File or anything else?
If he holds a US passport he'll get in free stamp on the visa exempt entry program.
Right now that is for 60 days but it's been approved to go back to 30 days in the not too distant future.
So no problem entering Thailand on his US passport..
Make sure you file a TDAC (Thailand Digital Arrival Card) on both him and you as you two are entering the country as Americans. Your Thai wife is not required to file one
