Does anyone know how many times you can do a land border run in a year?
Summary so far
The original question asks how many times one can do a land border run in Thailand in a year. However, the discussion quickly deviated from the topic and became a series of responses regarding taxi fares, transportation from the airport to Pattaya, and overall frustrations with the comments and interactions. The responses included various taxi fares, transportation advice, and some irrelevant comments, overshadowing the original question about border runs.

I paid 1700 total for comfort Bolt. Last time I said that I got laugh reacts from the broke mfs that didn't bring enough money to get a nice ride after their long haul flight in economy.
David Wad do not take the last seats as they're at the back no much aircon and hot ! Did it last February won't do it again ! 1000 to 1500 nice big aircon car ! Straight to your hotel we still had to pay 160baht for tuc tuc from North bus terminal to hilton hotel beach rd ! Had a tour of naclua and North pattaya before we was dropped off ! Lesson learnt ! 🙂
Beachsunsand72 I can afford a taxi but savinig 1000 baht whilst using exactly the same route on a bus means I can go for a couple of nice meals or order bottle of wine. It's called using your budget wisely
Gerard Joe Kennedy The same guy charged me 1,300 Baht going from Bangkok to Pattaya a few days prior to that, so I think it would still have been 1,100 from the airport to Pattaya.
baht bus? I guess you mean the 'songthaew'. I dont understand why falang call this a 'baht bus'. If you really want to give it an English name. Call it 'two seats' as the translation means
Robert Welsh Asia The bus is OK if you have little or no luggage. Not so good if you have two big cases, though the bus + a Bolt car for the last leg could work. Also the last bus is quite early in the evening and even during the day you may have to wait an hour or two if they are busy, which they often are in high season.
I would rather pay the 1100B and be home within 2 hours of stepping off the plane, day or night.
Mike Ratel I don't know, why you think my account is fake, but at Bkk Airport if you go down to the 1st floor at the far end near the eatery. Are bus terminals, there is one that makes trips to Pattaya and Jomtien. Jomtien is the best option because you can catch the baht bus to go back to Pattaya for 10-20 baht I heard it had increased to 20 baht. It's the way I always went after catching taxis and bolt rides for almost two years. Just trying to save you some money.
