Immigration officer called my gym

A notice for everyone. I own a gym that is popular for those looking to train Muay Thai and apply for the DTV (Tiger Eye)

For the first time since the launch of the DTV we got a call from an immigration officer at the airport (not sure which airport as my staff answered the phone)asking to confirm someone's attendance.

For context, the person in question came via an agency, an agency we stopped working with because we suspect they are forging people's bank statements after I reached out to the agency incognito as a potential client.

The person was from a former Soviet bloc country.

The staff member told the immigration officer the truth that this person hasnt come in yet and it was a short matter of fact call.
Answer summary
A gym owner reported receiving a call from an immigration officer regarding a client applying for the DTV (Tiger Eye) visa. The inquiry was triggered by concerns about a past agency that may have been involved in forgery. The incident highlights the scrutiny involved in visa applications and the responsibility of businesses to adhere to immigration rules.

Put in your intended initial date of arrival and a date out within 60 days, and then you will supply another intended date of arrival sometime after that.

First departure, or else you’ll get 98 days as you see and would be on overstay.

Firstly, at the top, it suggests you haven't left enough time to get the METV.

Secondly, why not give the 6-month date, if any at all ? Is the intended departure date required ?

I don't know what you're going to do when you leave Thailand (intending to return shortly(?)), but why not enter visa-exempt, leave for at least 8 days, and come in for another v-e, which you should be able to extend for 30-days. Total of 90 IN Thailand.

Alan Rothwell Yes that is true , I also thought about getting the exemption twice.

But I read so many stories here that if I leave for 10 days and come back again with the exemption only I may get denied the entry.

Andrea Fomi The whole thing is a bit up in the air as to exactly what will happen soon.

UNLESS you have a past overstay history or have been to Thailand "too much" in the recent past, you should be fine for staying 60, leaving for 10, and coming in again v-e.

First departure, if you put the end date then ypu don't need the M, a single entry would do.
