Can I apply for Korean and Schengen visas in Bangkok as a Vietnamese citizen on a DTV visa?
Hi everyone, I’d really appreciate your advice.
I’m a Vietnamese citizen currently living in Bangkok on a DTV visa.
I’m planning to travel to South Korea and some Schengen countries.
Is it possible to apply for Korean and Schengen visas in Bangkok, or do I need to return to Vietnam to apply?

I used to think so until my friend got rejected for Schengen visa recently without any history of overstay or illegal activity. Then she applied again then she got it. No explanation whatsoever.Tammi *****

yes and no. I have a different type of visa. It is said that I only need a valid long term Thai visa, a valid passport and a sufficient amount of money then I can applied for a Schengen visa. So I did without any issues.

A DTV is a tourist visa so you are not living in Thailand but you are on holiday. I don't know if that will affect your visa applications.

Yes can apply in Bangkok using VFS. For schengen and a visa for south korea from embassy via kvac. Do a google search.

As long as you have a long term visa to stay in thailand, you can apply at VFS Global located at the Chamchuri Square. The steps are not that much difficult. You can check their website.

For a Schengen visa you have to apply to the country you’ll arrive into even if you’re only staying a day. I don’t know if you have to apply from VN or Thailand.
