BKK AIRPORT

I entered Thailand for the second time today with a DTV visa. I left Thailand on January 28 and returned today. The immigration officer at Bangkok Airport (BKK) asked me how many days I had left. After answering, I received a new entry stamp for six months. My friend, who is in the same situation, entered without any questions at a different immigration officer.

I received my Non Immigrant O Visa today from London Thai Embassy. They have dated 23rd December (the day it was issued)to 22nd March 2026. giving (90 days)

Clearly on my application I stated arrival in Bangkok 30th January.

I fly into Bangkok Airport on January 30th.

Will Immigration stamp 90 days on my arrival?

I am hoping so

Thank you.

Hello fellow DTVers. I normally don't write posts myself, but due to the massive fear mongering of some, I'll share my experience today. I entered trhu Don Mueang Airport today, it's like the 8th or so time since I got my DTV in October. I had exited trhu Don Mueang before, but this was the first time I didn't enter trhu Suvarnabhumi.

As always, less than 5 minutes, no question asked, and a 180 days stamp received.

Mine is a remote worker one, if that matters.

I am currently in Vietnam. I was planning to apply for my DTV in Ho Chi Minh City (where I am currently), but would it be better to apply in Hanoi? I don’t mind paying for a flight if the process is easier/faster there. Thanks!

Hello to group members. I am now applying for a 90 day non-O visa online. My trip is scheduled for this June. I wonder if the visa period begins from the date the embassy issues it or will it be valid according to travel dates I mention on the application form?

I think I've got all my ducks in line to submit my application when I land and get entry stamp on 23rd Dec. Thanks for all the great help from members here hope it pays off.

Last question has anyone had card payment difficulties when coming to pay. Reason I ask is I tried to pay for Vietnam evisa online and none of my cards would be accepted. In the end had to get agent to do it. But hopefully Thai website has better software?

I've seen it mentioned on this site many times, but I dont think it can be stressed enough. If not Visa related enough please delete.

ALWAYS check your entry stamp. I just came from CW to get a 30 day extension on my 60 day entry stamp. The original date was for April 27th. I was given a stamp for May 28th. I looked at it but it did not register that it was 31 days, not 30. Luckily they noticed it and called me to tell me I needed to go back before I had left the building. She gave me a new stamp and I started to leave the office before double checking. They had made an error again and gave me a stamp for April 27th, the exact date as the original stamp. After going back they finally gave me the correct stamp for May 27th. I would suggest doing the math ahead of time and knowing exactly what it should be so you can check and have it corrected if need be before even leaving the counter. They process hundreds of people per day, with different dates so it is easy for them to make a mistake.

Other than that everything went smooth and quickly. I had all my documents in order thanks to the advice I got from reading replies to other posts on this site. Thank you to all the admins that take their time to answer all the questions.
