I am having an interview for DTV in pakistan. Received an interview email, no docs etc being demanded. Please anyone who can guide, what is the purpose of this interview.

Immigration Officer put the wrong stamp in my wife passport.

So what happened?

I did a visa run and I just arrived in phuket, I'm writting this from the van as I'm going home.

We're a family of four 3 Australian passport and wife Filippino, I told the immigration officer that we all have the DTV visa.

All Australian passports got 6 months but my wife got the wrong stamp and only 2 months, was waiting for the luggage when I found out about the stamp, so we all headed back and go to her and I told her, then she said something in thai like "I made a mistake" and then start to panic, the guy next to her was telling her something like "hurry up, your queue isn't moving, hurry" she was looking for something and made her desk a mess, then she finally found it, the void stamp, take out of the box and wasn't stamping the void in red so she grab a pen and put void in the stamp and put a new stamp.

Then she gave me the passport.

I ask her if the problem has been solved, she replied yes I will fix later pointing at the computer.

What should I do guys?

I have travelled alot and nothing like this never happened to me, I don't want my wife go to a detention center because the wrong stamp.

My first ever 30 day extension today. At Chumphon Immigration. In and out in 10 minutes. Friendly, efficient and great sense of humour. Very impressed.

I have been in Thailand for two years on a language school visa. I am thinking of getting a DTV visa next month.

Has anyone with a history of a language school visa applied for a DTV VISA?

FYI, Grand Adaman Sea Pier is open and offering 60 day entry on VIP fully covered speed boat... The last 2 Visa Runs were a breeze, so this might help to offer an option. I have received a few varying answers to my many inquiries while at the Ranong border, but one Agent mentioned that a foreigner can receive 4 land crossings with 60 days entry per calendar year. Could one of the Admins please clarify if that this is factual. Thanks!

Does the financial requirements for the DTV have to consistently remain in your account, or does it just have to be there when they verify?

Basically, can the $ be there during application and approval, then you pull it (for whatever reason), then put it back (to prove you still have it)?

Asked for TM 30 so I could get a 30-day extension staying at Elizabeth Hotel Bangkok and they told me one week on Old system have to send messenger is this b*** or what ? I don't have a week.

Applying for an O extension at Cheang Watthana today and was told to come back for this reason:

my visa expires on march 28. I was able to book an appointment for today, the 17th. I got my bank balance up to 800k on January 24, 2 months and a few days to season or so I thought. I did not know 2 months seasoning is calculated back from the day you’re at immigration to ask for an extension, NOT 2 months back from the day your visa expires. I have to go back March 24-28.

Has any U.S. Citizen that is *not* a resident or citizen in Australia applied from Australia? I knew someone (but she was an aus citizen) who said they only checked her bank account proof for day of but now im seeing it say 3 months of bank statements and 6 months of income statements. Maybe they’ve changed the policy since she applied last year though. I had been thinking about applying in Australia.
