I’ve recently arrived on an EVisa from the Uk for 90days with the aim of extending it to a non O based on marriage.
About to head out and 🤞open a bank account, I’ve checked on here that the 400k doesn’t need to come from abroad and it seems that it doesn’t, can we just confirm that’s still the case please ?
Also, if it all goes well the money would be seasoned for the required 2 months just 2 months and 4 days after arriving.
I don’t lose the extra 25 or so days by applying for my extension early do I ?
I also have 2 half Thai kids that have moved back with us. Does this mean I could apply for a different visa with no seasoning required or am I best off with marriage extension ?
Extension of stay based on lump sum deposit (Married to Thai) - (and couple of other related questions, cos I not use that extension method for years) ?
Before I use the affidavit from Embassy and evidence of monthly transfers. However, because of difficulties related to overseas transfer bank code etc., I decided to switch to lump sum 400k deposit.
Where I may find example of bank letter (Bangkok Bank if this important)?
Should I get this letter a day before application?
The lump sum must be deposited 2 months before application - is this still correct, and how these months are calculated? For example, If I deposited funds at the end of December, will be good to apply in the first days March, or I should calculate some amounts of day (for example, funds deposited on 22 December + 60 days, good to apply on 22 February)?
On the day to get final stamp, should I transfer some small amount to account then update bank book to show the funds still at account?
Please advise which date is used to determine when the required 3 months of seasoning begins? I'm assuming it's 31 August but would like experienced advice as this is my first extension stamp! In addition what date in Dec, is it safe to go below the 800,000 balance?
Quick question regarding my Non-O family Visa. I put the 400,000thb in my account about 15 days ago. I had some unknown automatic payment come out of that account yesterday and the account momentarily dropped below 400,000thb. Is this a problem for the 2 month waiting period? Will this reset the 2 months since it briefly went below 400,000thb? Any advice is appreciated.
How strict are they with the proof of funds for 2 months before application for extension based on marriage? For example I have a non o visa and have just opened a bank account and deposited 400k today. Due to Quarantine, the time it took to get an account opened and funds transferred I am concerned that When I apply for the extension it will not be a full 2 months unless I apply for the extension with only a bit over 1 week until my visa runs out... Funds deposited 25th Dec 2020, passport stamped until the 6th March 2021
Good morning, my RS visa expired in April and I have not been able to leave the country to switch to an ED visa as I've been enrolled and attended university since then. I know that to change to an ED visa you have to leave the country. My question is this I just got married this weekend and wanted to know if to apply for a marriage visa I would have to leave the country. And also since I'm going to immigration today to get an extension. Is there a way for me to stay in Thailand for the 60 day seasoning period I would have to have 400k baht?
Hi can I get some advice regarding my visa which expires end of December this year, having to come back to the UK I have not transferred my pension to my Thai bank account and not having the full 800000bht in my account, I'm intending to deposit fund's to top up to 800,000 bht in September, will there be a problem renewing the visa. (non-imm)
Hi, when using the (Dutch) combination method to get a year extension (50+ retirement), e.g 500,000฿ on the bank and 30,000,฿ monthly income with affidavit, is there also a seasoning time for that 500,000฿ ? Thanks!
Not sure if i have stuffed up here or not, i was told by Nonthaburi imm to go back on the 11march to apply for the 12 month extension,
The cash had to be in the bank for 2 months, i changed banks on the 19th Jan, so my new passbook wont show 2 months, should i just copy my old passbook and hand that in with the new one?
