Do the embassies verify the authenticity of any of the documents needed, like bank statements? What's to stop someone looking for a workcation DTV from just photoshopping a balance or a work portfolio or something else?

Does a translation of my UK marriage certificate need to be certified by the Thai Embassy in London?

I am asking in relation to obtaining a Kor Ror 22 for a 1-year extension based on a marriage in the UK. My question is specific to a UK marriage certificate and getting the correct documentation in place.

My understanding of the process is as follows:

1. IN THE UK: Marriage certificate legalised by the FCDO in Milton Keynes

2. IN THE UK: Mariage certificate verified by the Thai Embassy in London

3. IN THAILAND: Marriage certificate translated

4. IN THAILAND: Translation of marriage certificate verified by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs

I am asking for clarification as to whether or not the Thai Embassy in London need to verify a translation of the marriage certificate, or if that only needs to be done by the MFA in Thailand.

Thank you!

Hello everyone. Recently my agent gave my passport and documents to the immigration office for Retirement visa. My agent signed and stamped a copy of my passport and visas. And when I "checked in" with these documents and wanted to go to Khon Ken, the staff did not let me in because the document is not from the immigration ministry office issued by the agency. and after a lot of effort I was able to get the luggage but the ticket was burned. Your information

Update if useful and allowed…

I was visited by immigration at my address in BKK this AM (earlier than agreed!) during the review period of my Non-O application (as advised during my application at CW), they were pleasant and respectful as always and took a lot of photos of me, my place and my documentation, then seemed to suggest all was well and for me to return to CW on my slip date for the stamp 👍

Thx as always for your help in getting here 🇹🇭🙏

Hi, a friend has found a job as a teacher in Khon Kaen. His qualifications were stamped by the Thai embassy in South Africa and when he went to apply for a non B in Khon Kaen they told him that the stamp needed to be verified in Bangkok. Question is do you take the papers yourself, and if yes does anybody have an address?

I have just been to the Amper with all my documents to get married. I believe I have done everything correct. Papers checked by the MFA in Bangkok but the Amper says they have to recheck the papers and it might wait two months. Is this right?

Work permit and non-b visa related

Hi

I have searched in the group but couldn’t find an answer for my specific situation.

I am here on tourist visa (native danish) but have been hired by a school to become a teacher. So now I’m in the process of getting everything ready. Translation of documents, verified copies of documents, police check and lastly MFA.

The School informed me that the visa can be done within Thailand.

My embassy has not been the biggest help but I’m looking for a guide related to the process and doing everything in the right order with the correct documents.

Has anyone done this recently and are you able to give a quick step-by-step guide? 😅

I’m a little lost in all the documents needed for the various steps (I know it might not be the same for all nationalities, but anything will help).

Thanks 🙏🏼
