Can I get a workcation DTV if I have been living in Thailand for 3+ years?

I have a Non B but considering switching to the DTV next time I am back in the UK, but I have some concerns about being asked for additional paperwork, such as:

• Tax returns

• Proof of residence

• Payslips

I can provide all of these, but they would be Thai documents. I'm guessing this would be an issue, and possibly a red flag that I have a history of working in Thailand with a Non B?

I can provide all of the standard documents - corporation certification, letter from company, 500k in a UK account (can provide proof of address in home country with this).

Hello friends,

interesting question.

If my departure and arrival date is at the end of January and of course the end of June each year. Let's say I decided to leave and enter at the end of December. How is the renewal carried out? Starting from the moment I returned for another six months? Or is it not valid at all for renewal because I did not leave on time?

I hope I was able to explain

I will get a Non Immigrant O Visa for my next visit, the question I have ... To open a bank account what is the customary amount required to just open the account for starters. I am not necessarily trying to deposit 800,000 for one year extension. Primary goal is to open a Thai account and slowly bring to 800,000. I will be leaving in 60 days with the Non-O Visa. Again, looking to just get and maintain an active Thai Account for future retirement Visa long term.

Hey all, thanks for all the good advice from a few weeks ago. l am now set to travel on 11 October via Singapore and into Jomtien Monday 12. Just 1 last question for the group....

Is it easier to bring a money order, bank check or travellers check to the value of 800,000thb? Can't take that much cash, approx $au38,000 and without an account to transfer into, cannot do an EFT.

Any help will be gratefully accepted.

I came in on a 90 day non-o visa for having Thai family (kids). I got a further 60 day extension on that. My visa expires at the end of this month. Is it possible to get the annual extension after getting the 60 day one already? Also my bank dropped below 400k this month, but I could top it up.

Not sure if I can make it happen or if I have enough time?

Appreciate your advice!

Hello everyone, I’m planning on applying for Thailand’s retirement Non O visa here stateside. I have a plan, let me know what you think. On arrival immediately deposit 800k bhat and at the same time start transferring additional amounts to meet the monthly of at least 65k bhat. By the time I apply for my 1st extension I will have the funds required and at least 2 maybe 3 months of deposits, so by the time it’s time for 2nd renewal I’ll have at least 13 or 14 months of deposits to show that I have met the monthly income. Ok so far right, now my question is. When can I take out the 800k bhat? Your thoughts appreciated.
