I have a Non-Immigrant O-A visa, issued from my application filed in South Korea.

The visa is multiple entry.

The visa was granted 15-December-2023.

Visa must be used by 14-December-2024.

I am a USA citizen.

I am a permanent resident of South Korea.

My next trip to Thailand is scheduled for 1-December-2024.

My required Thai insurance certificate is valid until 25-December 2025.

OK.. The question. When I enter, my “visa” will be activated for one year (I assume until November 30, 2025). What about paperwork. Until now, I have had the Thai eVisa letter with the dates. If I leave in January for a trip home, what do I need to do?

Do I need to get another multi-entry stamp?

How does immigration know that my visa is valid until November 30, 2025?

How would I prove it when I re-enter the Kingdom AFTER my trip home in January?

Thank you for your help.

I am over 50, travel on an Oz passport and would like to stay in Thailand next year from 15 July - 30 October 2023 ( then spend 2-3 months in Europe ) and then come back to Thailand from 10 January to 30 May 2024.

I assume that applying for a non-immigrant visa type O-A valid for one year at the OZ consulate in Sydney is the easiest way to stay for the periods mentioned above.

Question 1 : Does such a visa allow you to leave Thailand ( in this case for thereabout 2-3 months) and come back in ? Do you need to apply for some kind of re-entry visa when you leave ?

Question 2a: Could I apply again for the same type of visa (non-immigrant O-A valid for 1 year) in September 2024 ?

Question 2b: Given that I have dual citizenship ( OZ & French) and will apply for this visa to the Thai embassy in Paris , should I use my OZ passport or would it be better to use my French passport for this visa ?

I don’t want to get into trouble with the Thai immigration for using two passports.

I have a question on timing. I received a multiple-entry, non-imm. O-A Visa from the Thai embassy in Los Angeles which states that it is valid from November 5, 2020 to November 4, 2021. I entered Thailand on December 6, 2020 and was stamped to stay until December 2, 2021. I then left Thailand on June 3, 2021 to return home to get vaccinated.

I understand that I can return and be given another year from the date I return as long as I have insurance for that period. My question is when do I need to return by to take advantage of another year? I'm guessing I just need to return by December 2, 2021 but I wanted to make sure. Thanks in advance.

The problem is I'm supposed to stay in quarantine at home for 14 days...

Hello all, I would like to get your help in order to decide what should be my next steps.

I am a Canadian citizen (normally visa exempt).

I am currently in Canada.

I am looking at the at the best strategy to get in Thailand for long term stay.

I am over 50 and have financial means but I do not want to go Elite visa.

I already have a non-resident bank account with Krungsri and can easily transfer 800,000 THB.

I understand that whatever I do, I will have to to undergo a 14-day quarantine at a hospital or certified alternative state quarantine (ASQ) hotel upon my arrival.

My question(s):

1- Should I simply ask for the special tourist visa (STV) that allows foreign visitors to stay in the country for 90 days, extendable up to 270 days and see from there?

2- Should I ask for a Non-Immigrant Visa, O-X 10 Years Long Stay ? (What is the difference, advantages and inconvenients compared to Non-Immigrant Visa, O-A ???

3- Should I look for a job, an get in as a Software Engineer under a Non-Immigrant Visa Category EX

4- Once inside Thailand, is it possible to convert a visa into another? If I enter under a retirement visa, can I find a job and obtain a work visa (without exiting the country). Or in reverse, could I enter under STV and ask for retirement visa or a work visa?

Thanks in advance.

Online O-A Visa application advice.

I am currently in the process of applying for the Non-Immigrant Visa “O-A” (Long Stay) online at thaievisa.go.th as I am from the UK.

My questions are:

In the application is asks for scans of documents etc, do these actually have to be scanned images or are phone photographs accepted?

One of my proofs of financial evidence is a downloaded Premium Bonds statement. This only shows proof of balance, but not when the deposit was made which was over six months ago, would this matter?

When you send in your passport for the visa do you also send in the supporting documents? If the answer is yes can you send in self printed statements from your bank?

TIA
