Has anyone applied for the LRT(Long-Term Resident) visa type for 5+5 years? I plan to apply because i meet all the criteria, how long did the process take? As i understand, it is possible to apply both within Thailand and abroad through the embasy.

I am applying for a ltr visa in the Work from abroad professional. My company told me they would prefer to submit their portion of the paperwork directly to the Thai government rather than have me upload it. Does anyone know if this is possible and if so, how? If there’s an email address to send things to separate from the Visa application form.

For the LTR visa, anyone know for certain whether the financial requirements only applies to the main applicant and NOT the dependent. For example, with the Wealthy Global Citizen's 1 million+ USD total asset (including at least 500k USD investment in Thailand). Does it mean if I am the main applicant and my wife is my dependent, we just need 1 million total, and NOT 2 million, is this correct?

Anyone has recent experience with regards to the LTR VISA processing time. I have submitted my application back in late Februrary, and BOI requested additional information on my insurance requirement on Mid-March which I have provided necessary doc the same day. And I have yet to hear back since then. Now I know a lot has happened during this time (earthquake, Songkran) which might have added additional time to this process, which I heard normally take around 20 business days. Have tried reach out earlier this week, but have yet to hear anything back.

When applying for a LTR Visa, has anyone had an issue with uploading documents? My problem is I save my documents but when I go to upload them to the LTR application site, they are not showing. They are where they are supposed to be. However when I use the upload feature on the LTR site, most are nowhere to be found. All are .pdf.

Appreciate any help. This is only thing holding me up. I reached out to BOI as well.

Hello, I was just curious how long some of you had to wait for your LTR? My application has been in final review for some time and 3 1/2 months since the submission. When I called BOI, they said it’s with the relevant government agencies, but no one has asked me for any additional documents. Is it possible that these departments are just taking a long time? 3 1/2 months seems quite long relative to what other people seem to have experienced. Thanks.

I am looking into the LTR wealthy pensioner visa but can't find how they determine the $80k passive income. Is this income pre or post tax? If you have income which is tax free say from ISA's do you ( if the passive income is pre tax) add on the tax that would have been paid when demonstrating the $80 k income? I am unsure how you treat a pension income which is pre tax and other income which either post or no tax?
