TLDR : Answer Summary
The fees for applying for a Non-Immigrant O-A Visa can vary significantly depending on the embassy or consulate where the application is submitted. For instance, applicants reported fees of about £150 in London and around NZ$2,000 in New Zealand. Additionally, the fees in Thailand can range from 2,000 to 23,000 Thai Baht, depending on whether the applicant demonstrates a sufficient bank balance (800,000 THB) or not. It's crucial to check the specific embassy's website for the most accurate and up-to-date fee information. Furthermore, applicants must meet certain health insurance requirements, which typically cost around 8,000 THB annually.

You can only apply for the OA visa through your own home country embassy/consulate. Prices they charge will differ.

You you can get both the OA and the O outside of Thailand but you can only get the OA in your home country. the OA comes as a one-year multiple entry if your last entry is timed well can be used for 2 years. You don't need to bring your 800k into Thailand until you want to extend close to year 3 but you also must have a criminal background check and mandatory insurance whereas the O Visa is 90 days and need to show the money in a Thai bank for 2 months before an extension.

Depends on the embassy or consulate you are applying at. In London about £150. In NZ $2,000. With exchange rates it’s not exactly the same….
