Hello and first thank-you for all the team working to support this site .. great work!

My question, I am currently on an OA retirement visa extension ( expires Aug 24). I am currently living on Koh Samui but soon will be moving full time up north and so to another province . Am I correct in saying I only have to ensure a new TM30 address is filed ASAP. I do not need to inform Samui immigration locally of my departure ?

Thanks for the support. Mark

I will need to file a change of address in a few weeks time... Moving provinces.

Can this be done via mail... Or I must visit immigration?

Cheers.

Non O extension of stay based on marriage, got an under consideration stamp the other day at Chiang Rai immigration, have to go back on 23rd July for 1 year stamp (can apply here 45 days before expiry and then they put final stamp in 30 days after expiry).

Can I move to Surin and get final stamp there or do I have to wait and use same office?

Also have 90 day report on 23rd June.

Want to move province, not excited about waiting 8 more weeks....

Hi guys, i think i can do this, but you guys know a lot more than me, i am a non 0 90 day visa and will go for the extension of stay next month,

If i move to another provence before i apply, does it make a difference as it will be a different office i will deal with, or is it best to stay put till i get the extension?

Thanks

Question from a mate of mine,

He lives up north and will be due his renewal of extension to stay based on marriage in 2 months. His problem is that he is moving to a different province in a few weeks and can't apply for his extension until after he has moved.

So are his only options the following.

1. Make the move then apply in the new province and have to get all the neighbour statements and town leader reference and a the other crap like the first application. (Wouldn't need all that for a renewal in his original village as it's a renewal)

The issue here being he doesn't know anyone or have friendly neighbours or a village leader that he even knows where they live so how does he supply any of that stuff?

Or option 2

He moves province doesn't report that he has moved then goes back up north to do the renewal which is a massive round trip. Then has to do it again to collect it a month later then he does a change of address then he can 90 day report in new place and apply for renewal next year when he has friends and witnesses ?

He called the local immigration in the new province and was told that he would need all the references etc to apply for renewal there and when he said he is only gonna be a new random Farang in the town they said not their problem .

So any suggestions, ideas would be appreciated

Thanks
