What are the implications of not filing the 90-day report when exiting Thailand on a DTV?

Hi guys!

I entered on the DTV last November, I was there for 92 days, leaving on day 92. I did not do the 90 day report. (When I exited Thailand it was via the automated gate that scans your passport at BKK. I left without issue).

What implications are there if any going forward? I intend to enter again later this year (on the DTV), and if staying more than 90 days, I will do my 90 day report.

Anyone have any advice?

Will it get flagged at immigration when I do my 90 day report or any other interactions with immigration?

Thanks!

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking advice regarding the implications of not filing the 90-day report following their 92-day stay in Thailand on a DTV. Responses from the community suggest minor implications, such as a potential fine of 2000 baht if flagged by immigration. However, many assert that a late report (up to 7 days) carries little risk, especially since the user exited Thailand without issue. Members share personal experiences of similar situations, indicating that prior non-compliance often goes unnoticed during future interactions with immigration.

No worries at all, you have 15 days before and 7 days after the 90th to report the 90 days, if you leave before the 97th day no report is due. I went to immigration to ask that because I was about to be in the same situation.

Thank you for replying. That's really surprising to hear as some people say you must do it. I've not seen it claimed before the 'grace' period after it's due 'counts' towards whether you actually do it or not. Also I would question what one immigration office says compared to another (there's rarely any consistency between them)

I went to Bangkok main office to do the 90 days report, I told them I had my flight to another country on my 93th day, they called a superior, share my data and told me no 90 days report is due. I left the country and came back after 10 days without any problem. I know every officer can give his own interpretation but I verified it by leaving Thai and entering again that the info was correct. Just for additional specs: all of this happened 1 month ago, not years ago.

Does anyone know how long a gap you need between the 90 days and how often can you come back in, in a year?

Hi so you mean you didn't do the report on one entry, left on day 94, came back, had no problems, and then when the next 90 day report was due you actually did it with no issues? Which immigration office did you do the report at? Thanks

no, i did the first 90d report on day 86, so the next due date was 4 days before the date on my stamp, on which i did border run, and forgot the 2nd 90d. And after that i did my 90d report on day90, no problems. Jomtien IO

You can do your 90 day report up to 7 days late. So you didn’t break any rules

He did... because he didn't file the report... and with a little bad luck the immigration will charge him next time when he need to go there.

I wanted to do the report on day 95 but I had to fly to Germany on day 92 spontaneously .. Never had issues, the system reset when you re enter Thailand.

you won't have any issues entering or leaving Thailand but the next time you interact with an immigration office you can be fined 2k baht (if they notice)

that's my point, it doesn't get reset by re-entry, you start a fresh 90 day period on re-entry

As mentioned, the 7 days is an additional allowance to submit the report, not extra time to leave the country without filling it.

the 7 days grace period only applies to filing. 90 consecutive days inside Thailand you are legally obliged to file

Implications, little, worst case scenario a sharp eye immigration officer at your local office notices and you gets a 2000 baht fine.

at his local Thai Immigration office when he does his next 90 day report or anytime that he needs the services of the local Thai Immigration office. Nothing to worry about at the Airport.
