Hello! I’d like to apply for a DTV but I only have 1 Month bank statement showing over $16k (I received the funds in Sept and my flight is in Nov). Should I enter Thailand without a visa, border hop, apply while I’m out of the country?

Or should I get a tourist visa or someother arrangement, extend or try to convert to DTV after a couple of months?

Hi. A friend applied for a visa in Hanoi. The visa was canceled. "Wrong personal info"

How can I tell where there was a mistake? There was no error in the passport details. Is there a phone number or email I can check? Thanks

Hi first of all thank you guys so much for all the guidance, advice and help...this group is amazing.

Now to my confusing situation.

I applied for a dependent DTV Visa in Frankfurt, Germany early October, on the 6th of October they asked for more documents which I sent, then on the 14.10 I received the good news that my visa is approved!!! It was amazing and we bought our flight tickets the same day.

3 days later my status all the sudden changed from approved to request interview. Then I received an email on the 16.10 for an interview on the 20.10 at 10 am.

I went there yesterday, they were very friendly and kind, i greeted them in Thai, they laughed and were impressed with my pronunciation xD they asked me a lot of questions and I was quite nervous....

I brought up the situation with the approved visa and they told me, it's a glitch and if they grant me a visa, I will get a new one.

My status has not changed since the 16.10, also not after my interview, which is a bit concerning for me :(

Our flight is in 8 days.

My husband DTV Gott approved in less than a week.

Am I being paranoid? Should I reapply for a DTV or at least a tourist visa so I can fly to Bangkok on the 29....?

Our flights are non refundable, we also have a dog :( I'm so frustrated, worried and confused :(

— HELP: STOLEN PASSPORT: flying to bkk soon … who to contact?! Please read below —

I need some advice regarding my Muay Thai DTV (Soft Power) visa and my visa is digital (I have an online copy and a printed version - nothing was in my actual passport luckily)

I applied and was approved digitally in Hanoi, but my old Canadian passport was stolen recently and I now have a new passport. I need to update my passport number for my visa, and the Muay Thai school is updating the invitation letter for me.

Has anyone been in this situation before? Who should I contact, and what steps do I need to take to make sure my visa is recognized when I fly to Bangkok on November 5 from Madrid?

- I have a photo of my old passport

- a photo of my new passport

- police report

- all emails with the Canadian embassy regarding my stolen passport

- all DTV documents/pics digitally I used when applying in Hanoi and being approved

Are there any agents in Chiang Mai or elsewhere who can help with this process also?

Any guidance would be greatly appreciated — I want to avoid any issues at immigration.

Thank you!

Shannon

Today we went to Saraburi Immigration Office to apply for my 1 year extension of stay on a Non-Immigrant O " Retirement" Visa as being over 50 years old in the bottom.

Their handouts about the requirements I asked about before did not quite add up to the ones we got when we came there.

Believe me we were prepared, my income letter from Swedish Embassy was worthless proving more income/pension than 65 000 baht per month , officer told me to instead open a bank account and start transfer 65k every month to get my extension.

Officer asked us to come back on 14th November and to get an update on my account and bank book and also to bring a certificate from the bank the day before.

The officer also asked about copies of my girlfriends rental agreement, we was prepared for that, but they also put like a postal stamp on it and told us to get copies of it, which our Immigration office do not offer so need go to fix nearby.

We brought everything from the landlord that was requested on the handouts in the first place, with copies.

Well it's only to do what the officer say so we head down to Kasikorn Bank to open an account.

Was no problem, they needed my passport, a letter from Immigration that I need a bank account (not an ordinary residence certificate document) for my extension and that I have a Thai phone number (sim card) connected to my passport, which we did before go to the bank, plus documents from girlfriends landlord that they owe the building we rent our apartment in.

OBS, this is only Saraburi offices rules of today.

Sorry for a long one.
