What is the best approach to apply for a DTV in Thailand with limited financial documentation?

Hello! I’d like to apply for a DTV but I only have 1 Month bank statement showing over $16k (I received the funds in Sept and my flight is in Nov). Should I enter Thailand without a visa, border hop, apply while I’m out of the country?

Or should I get a tourist visa or someother arrangement, extend or try to convert to DTV after a couple of months?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking advice on how to apply for a Digital Nomad Visa (DTV) in Thailand with only a one-month bank statement showing over $16,000. They are uncertain whether to enter Thailand visa-free, border hop to apply from outside the country, or obtain a tourist visa and later convert to a DTV. Comments suggest that a border hop might be necessary, and it's impossible to convert to a DTV from within Thailand.
