Hi,

Could someone tell me please if the office for getting a re-entry permit at the airport (Suvarnabhumi) is open 24 hours and roughly how long it takes to get it?

Thanks in advance πŸ™

I've read multiple threads on this but would appreciate input one more time before I file for my DTV.

When I first arrive I am staying in BKK and then after a week or two will go and rent down the coast. For the duration of stay what is the best number of days to apply?

With the additional accommodation question is it best to leave as NO or change to the YES when I'm not sure where I'll be exactly?

I got rejected for the DTV visa at Mumbai consulate, India 😞 πŸ‘‡

Actually I didn't completely get rejected but received a 'tourist tr' visa. Basically a normal visa of 60 days but valid for 6 months. That's a rejection in my eyes.

Now I am just trying to figure out what could be the reason for my rejection? Should I call them and insist on sharing the reason? If anybody here can review my documents in DM and let me know your expert opinion, that would be really helpful!

I applied through the workcation route as a freelancer. Submitted bank statement for 6 months with 500k for 3 months, ITR, Contracts, Clients' business registrations, employment certificate, payment transaction history, basically everything they needed to approve.

From other's experience too, the mumbai consulate seems to be conservative and very conservative. They prolly don't trust the status of 'freelancer' for a DTV visa. They must be looking for the traditional job employed people. They even requested additional documents. I still can't think of a solid reason that they rejected me. Such a bummer, waste of time and money.

Now if there is anybody that can help review my documents pls let me know, so I don't get rejected again. Also which country/ embassy is the best to apply from in my case. Thank you πŸ™

So I already have a 1 year lease on a condo while on my tourist visa. I am heading to Bali to Apply for DTV. What are the chances of being denied? Not let back in πŸ€”

Hello. On August 22, I went to immigration with all the required documents to apply for a retirement visa. They stapled a note in my passport stating *β€œIn the process of changing visa type”* with a date stamp of August 22, 2025.

My current tourist visa expires on Sunday, September 14. I went back to immigration today to ask whether I needed an extension in the meantime. Both agents I spoke with told me it was fine to return on Monday, September 15, even though my visa expires the day before. One agent simply pointed to the note in my passport and said there was no problem and nothing further to do.

Even so, I left feeling uneasy about the situation. I would greatly appreciate any advice or clarification. Thank you.

Thai cooking schools normally offer 6 to 12-month courses. On their pages, they always recommend 12-month courses for higher credibility in visa application.

Shall I opt for 6 or 12 months? With 6 months I could fail the visa application?

I'm currently staying in Thailand. I've already been there for over 100 days this year. now I'm planning to go to another country and apply for a DTV visa soon. Will my stay of over 100 days this year affect my DTV visa application? If so, I'll apply for a DTV visa next year.
