I’m going to apply for a workaction/DTV visa soon. I’ve got nearly 2 million THB in a savings account with monthly deposits of 50K THB, no further transactions (I got a current account for that). Is that an issue?

After my last not-so-great experience, today I completed my fourth entry on DTV. It was also my first time arriving at DMK Airport.

There was a long queue at immigration - I had to wait around 90 minutes. When it was my turn, I handed over my boarding pass and passport to the immigration officer, an older lady probably in her 50s.

She asked to see my visa letter but didn’t ask for the TDAC.

No further questions were asked, and she stamped my passport in under a minute.

Should we not allow posts starting with "my friend said"?

So when applying for the DTV, is the website the best, or do you have to go to the thai embassy in your home country?

Hey guys. I have an interview in Vientiane and just wanted to check what they accept as original documents. All of my documents are stored in my laptop or emailed to me from my office in the UK. Do I literally need to print them off for the interview or when they ask to see originals would I be okay just showing them the originals on my laptop? Thanks

I’m hoping to retire to Thailand in April 2026 or January 2027, funds permitting. In December I will be traveling there for a holiday on a tourist visa.

My question is, while I’m there, will I be able to change my tourist visa to a 90 day visa to allow me to apply for a bank account, and start transferring my current savings in time for my retirement. We rent a house in Bangkok and are buying a house in Ubon, my name isn’t on either at the moment, but can be if required to support my application for a bank account.

I look forward to seeing any serious help and advice.

Thank you

Hi guys. What additional documents do they want to see for the DTV?

They state: "Please provide details about your current work, including (1) your CV or portfolio, and (2) examples of your work, along with any supporting materials that demonstrate your experience and qualifications."

I am confused: I already provided a letter mentioning that I am a business owner/property manager and manage an airbnb in NYC. I provided the listing and a proof of income for 2024 & YTD 2025. I also provided the documents of my LLC.

Any insight would be appreciated. Thank you!
