Once approved, can I fly to Thailand from anywhere? Or does it strictly need to be from Hanoi?

For anyone who’s ever had additional document requests for DTV, after providing the documents, how long is the wait for approval then? Does it start from beginning?

(I've already sent my bank statements with my UK address, but my parents pay the bills and own the flat, so that's why I don't have those things)

Hi guys update post on my experience applying from Jakarta

I went through Issa the application you can use on your phone. They’re based in thong lor, Bangkok. They were recommended to me by a friend who got her medical dtv

I arrived in Jakarta on the 14th. My application was submitted by them on 15 September on Tuesday the 23rd. I got a request asking for photos or proof of my interest in Muay Thai. I submitted photos of me at the Muay Thai Stadium in Bangkok, as well as my ticket stub I also sent photos of inside the gym. None included me in the photos and finally a photo of me punching the boxing bag at my gym.

I received the approval from Issa via email today at around 2:30 PM. I used a popular gym that I saw advertised tier based in Chang Mai. All of the documents were perfect and I didn’t need anything else.

Hi all, I’ve just paid for 2 multi trip visas from the UK to Thailand as we was informed that the requirements was changing back to 30 days then extension for 30 days due to foreigners sleeping on beaches. Now I’ve read it’s still 60 days then 30 days extension at immigration. Is this correct?

Can anyone tell me if I need to provide proof of onward travel to airline now if I am eligible for the 60 day visa exemption?

Hi everyone, I’m French and I applied for the DTV via the HCMC consulate.

What I submitted:

- 6 months of French bank statements (showing 500,000+ THB savings + regular income).

- Employer letter confirming remote work, contracts, portfolio with screenshots of my work

- Proof of location in Vietnam (flight ticket, entry stamp, Airbnb booking, photo at accommodation).

Despite this, they came back asking for many additional documents (see attached screenshot).

My partner already got her DTV only with a simple portfolio, no recurring income, no tax docs, nothing else…

Has anyone else received such extensive requests, or is this specific to HCMC?

How did you translate them? Keep the original layout, use a certified agency?

What to include in the motivation letter?

Hi. Asking for my parents: they are 48 and 50, is there an age limit for DTV? They have their own company in Europe and they can work from anywhere at this point. But I’m not sure if they can get the DTV or have to apply for retirement visa.
