DTV Workcation Approved!

Ottawa Embassy.

Applied: September 24th

Document Requested: October 3rd

Pending Approval: October 6th

Approved: October 8th

So Whole thing took exactly 2 full weeks. They told me estimate 25 day business days, i know they tell you that to not give you any high expectations. was kinda getting worried id be around there, since it is high season. but everything went very smooth! they asked for docs once(incorporation letters + 3 months bank statement). Ottawa is pretty chill and just wants your last one to reach the 500,000THB threshold by the way.

If anyone has any questions applying from Canada, let me know!

It's my turn to say that my DTV has been approved. I applied as a digital worker applicant and I applied at the Lisbon Embassy. Eighteen days for approval but I pushed the situation because everything happens slowly in Portugal, even if it's not Portuguese. 😌 Here's the details:

Sept 17 6pm applied

Sept 29 9pm I emailed asking for status update

Sept 29 12am embassy emailed for a longer job description

Sept 30 2am emailed supporting documents

Oct 4 9:30 am I emailed to confirm they got my documents

Oct 5th 4:30pm email with approved visa

I have been on an expired PT residency visa for almost a year and after waiting more than a year for a renewal appt. I attended that appt and was told it would be another 6 months for an answer if approved and my card. That is a 1.5 year wait for a 3 yr residency card and in 17-18 days I got a 5 yr Thai visa! For all those people in the EU that says you have to be patient with EU bureaucratic systems take a look at efficiency of other countries immigration. The info I needed for my PT renewal appt was the EXACT same documents I needed for the DTV as well. I'm super excited!

Update: DTV approved after interview in Karachi embassy.

The ambassador was very nice, friendly, and shared some pro tips as well. When I entered, he mentioned that the ministry has asked me to check your contracts (I work on Upwork as a full time freelancer). After I showed him my profile live with a few contracts, he stopped me and said, "that's enough, I'm satisfied." I asked him a few questions regarding the visa and then left the embassy.

In 90 mins, I got my visa on email. Alhamd o Lillah

Hi guys update post on my experience applying from Jakarta

I went through Issa the application you can use on your phone. They’re based in thong lor, Bangkok. They were recommended to me by a friend who got her medical dtv

I arrived in Jakarta on the 14th. My application was submitted by them on 15 September on Tuesday the 23rd. I got a request asking for photos or proof of my interest in Muay Thai. I submitted photos of me at the Muay Thai Stadium in Bangkok, as well as my ticket stub I also sent photos of inside the gym. None included me in the photos and finally a photo of me punching the boxing bag at my gym.

I received the approval from Issa via email today at around 2:30 PM. I used a popular gym that I saw advertised tier based in Chang Mai. All of the documents were perfect and I didn’t need anything else.

Hi everyone!

I got my DTV Visa (Muay thai) approved yesterday in Hanoi. I applied on Saturday, so the approval took in total 3 business days! ☺️ they did not ask for additional documents.

I would be happy to help if some of you have questions regarding the process!

Also, do you guys think I need to print the visa before going back to Thailand? Or am I ok with the pdf document on my phone?

EDIT: Reapplied Wednesday last week in the same embassy and got approved today in the afternoon. So Hanoi did mine in 4 business days, no additional documents required.

Heya, I got rejected at Hanoi because I messed up some personal info. They said "Visa application cancelled, wrong personal info" and I realized I didn't put my current location in, just permanent home address, which were different in the documents.

Now I got everything else covered and checked, but I hear that I couldn't apply again at the same Embassy? Is that really a thing? There's no block on the website and nothing mentioned. I don't want to lose another $340 in case they just won't mention it.

Hanoi DTV workcation approved 15th Sept.

Docs submitted 8th, updated bank statement requested and submitted 10th.

I am a preply Business English teacher. I provided profile, lesson schedules, lesson example, payments history and preply insights, listing earnings to double check bank statements.

I gave 6 months bank statements listing preply payments in the notes.Only the last 2 months were over 500 k.

I used ISSA Compass, who although were a little slow responding to whatsapp messages, were professional and efficient...(most of the time).

Many thanks to all contributors in this group which were extremely helpful.

I am happy to answer any questions anyone may have.

With Thanks,

Matt
