Hi guys I am unsure of a couple of things from reading the UK thai embassy site

Can a 12 month retirement visa be applied for in either UK or Thailand??

Does one only have to confirm possession of the required finance ? As i understand it from my reading.?

Or must it be deposited in a Thai bank on the firt year of obtaining the visa

Thanks in advance for your advice

Hi all, I am about to issue the DTV as a remote worker (employee) in Hanoi. I made the following documents and I would like to confirm that I did not forget anything:

1. Bank statement (confirming I am the account owner)

2. Bank account balance of over 500K in the last 6 month

3. Payslips from the employer for the last 6 months

4. Employment contract stating that I can work remotely

5. employer letter stating that I can work remotely

What am I forgetting here, beside the visa form, passport copy and address in Vietnam?

Hello everyone! Vietnam will be starting its new online eVisa process next month, and I'm curious to know what you think about it. Do you believe the new system will make things easier, or are there any concerns about how it might work? I'd love to hear your thoughts and any insights you have about this upcoming change.

got my DTV approved in Hanoi using soft-power medical route...

- had my money in savings accounts. Which the lady at the desk thought might be a problem. Because it didn't have any transactions going in and out etc. But I wrote a short note explaining there weren't any transactions because it was a savings account. And also printed out a screenshot from my bank's website showing that the funds were fully accessible (i.e. not a fixed savings account or anything) and that was fine

- for the medical stuff, I showed copies of the paperwork I'd received from the hospitals I'd been to. Proving previous appointments, an appointment booked for when I flew back, and general proof of ongoing care in Thailand

- the bank notes I got from the exchange place at chiang mai airport. i was a bit worried because they weren't "perfect". But they were flat and didn't have any tears or writing/marks etc and she accepted them no problem

- it took a couple of days longer than the 2-3 days advertised. And I sent an email chasing things up. I was going to go down there in person and see what was happening, but then I woke up and there was an approval email in my inbox

Everything else was just the standard paperwork i'd seen you needed: proof of flight to thailand, proof of address in Vietnam, proof of address in Thailand, photocopy of my passport (picture page and the vietnam visa page), and the application form itself

It's also worth mentioning to be aware of the lunch break times there. I booked my appointment for 1.30pm and turned up about 20 minutes early in case it was busy or something. But it was shut for lunch, so I just had to sit outside in the rain like a plonker

Is there any Indian citizen who has applied for Thailand's new DTV visa for digital nomads? How was your experience? Did you face any issues with approval?

Hello guys, this is my first time doing DTV and I have some questions. Thanks so much for answering and I hope all of us can get the DTV visa as well.

1. According to this, HCMC will process e-visa from 8th Oct. Im Vietnamese citizen, can I also apply visa this website or I have to go to Thai embassy in Hanoi?

2. I have intention to visit Thailand next month (by tourist visa). During the time travelling in Thailand, can i send application for DTV visa via this e-visa website? Or I need to come back Vietnam and apply it in Thai embassy?

I’ve been udon Thani for nearly 2 months since I spent a month back in England nearly 3 months in Pattaya before that. I want to apply for a 1 year visa as I’ve already left Thailand and come back 3 times and I’m worried I won’t get let back in. I know it costs just under £500 but what else will they ask me for? Thank you in advance

Been waiting for the GBP to improve against the Thai Baht, not happening it continues to spiral downwards.

So I've bit the bullet and transferred at 43.1+for my upcoming visit in two weeks.

Should have done it weeks ago at 47+, hindsight is a great thing.
