TLDR : Answer Summary
Many suggestions were made regarding a one-day tour of the floating market, railway market, and temples in Bangkok. Recommendations for private guides and taxi services like 'Mrkong Taxi Thai' and 'Sunny Tour Thailand' were popular. Caution was advised regarding the floating market, with comments on its high prices and potential scams involving costly boat rentals. Travelers were also advised to utilize local tourist information centers for assistance, and many found using ride-hailing apps like 'Bolt' effective for visiting temples independently.

ask at your hotel. They may have someone they know and trust. Maybe skip the floating market.

Floating Market Tour can be a Scam. Driver drops u off at a place where u have to rent a boat for 2000-3000 THB. From the normal parking of the market you can rent a boat for just 300 THB, take care.

Floating market is very expensive for shopping and it’s a waste of time.

Railway market and temple tour are very good. Temple tours you can do on your own. Just download bolt(it’s just like Uber) and the car will pick you up and take you to the grand place. From there the emerald Buddha temple is near by walking 5 minutes and then take bolt again to the Wat Arun temple. You are done … just pay the enterance ticket at enter point!!!!

Walk over to a couple of the many tourist information counters you will meet, when you walk around.

No matter what you want to do, you can get advise there, they are the most knowledgeable people about what is going on, at the destination.

Then you will get a real live person, to help you finding the best tours / transport or what your need, and if they don’t provide excellent service, easy to pick another.

They have the local knowledge about almost everything a tourist need.

Tours / transport can be booked just 1-2 days ahead, in that way, it’s possibel to take the weather in account, which you can’t do by booking weeks or month ahead online.

And as a extra bonus, you will support local people by dealing directly with them.

If anything goes wrong, you will know where to contact face to face.
