Hello, does anyone here have any experience with the consulate in Frankfurt in relation to the point of employment? I work for a telecommunication company, however I don’t have an explicit certificate for remote work. Does anyone have any experience with if the industry you work in is closing remote is sufficient for the visa? or in general has anyone submitted a request without a remote notice?

I'm applying for the DTV under the Workcation category in HMC.
I've been asked: "Please provide details about your current work, including the examples of your work, along with any supporting materials that demonstrate your experience and qualifications."
I've already submitted:
* LinkedIn Profile PDF
* Employer Company Commercial License
* Employment Confirmation Letter
* Employment Contract
I don't know what else they want. I'm a VP of Engineering working full-time remotely (not a freelancer), so I don't have a traditional portfolio. I'm planning to submit a concise work summary outlining my role and responsibilities, along with a notarised copy of my university degree. Has anyone else experienced this? Is there anything else you think I should add? Thanks!!
Someone else has experiences with a second request for extra documents. I was already requested for extra documents which I uploaded last Saturday. Asking for all passport pages even empty one, resume/cv, showing my work.
But now I received the following message about even more documents. I applied through the Vietnamese embassy in Ho Chi Minh, as I'm currently in Danang.
* Other request documents: Provide company registration in original language and official ENGLISH translation. (An official translation is a translation that has been translated by a translation company with confirmation that the translation is true to the original.)
* Other request documents: Please provide evidence of all previous employment listed in your CV, including employment contracts from former companies, photos taken at previous workplaces, and any other relevant documentation.
Seems like quiet a lot to me to even have photos of previous workplaces. Also any hints on legal translations are welcome?
I would really appreciate some advice. I am going to apply for my DTV visa as someone who works for a company outside of Thailand. I work remotely for an educational company, and I have worked with them since 2023. I have an ongoing contract, but I am a bit worried that on my contract it states it is a zero hour contract. It says when I started the job, but does not give any end date, as it is just ongoing. As mentioned, I have worked with this company since 2023 and I have just got my schedule for continuing work for September - it is semester based, so I work September to end of November and then again February to May every year. Do you think this is OK, or do I need additional information of support. Thank you for any help you can give.
Hello people, i am talking to people who already apply for DTV Visa in chicago, what are additional documents will they ask me for? I have my passport, clear picture of me, I have 15,000 in bank account, I have driver's license, I have employment certificate and professional portfolio showcasing my work saying i can do remote work in any country. The additional documents that I do have is LLC and Employer identification number if they need it so what other documents they will ask me for please need this information.
Has anyone ever been asked to submit the passport of the person who signed their company’s remote work confirmation letter? I received this request, and my CEO is the one who signed my letter (with company letterhead). It’s completely unreasonable to ask for my boss’s personal information, and it’s highly unlikely I can even obtain it. I explained this to the embassy when submitting the documents, as well as through emails and calls, but I’ve received no response. They ended up rejecting my application and cited the reason as “suspected forged documents.” This is absolutely ridiculous—everything I submitted is legitimate, and the only document I’m missing is my boss’s passport.
Hi Everyone. I'm applying for the DTV visa through Los Angeles and I just received the 'Request for Further Document' email for supplemental documents. I work for a university currently and was hired as a full time employee 2 years ago. The offer letter itself was insufficient, so I'm now putting together more documents (Employment Verification generated electronically from our portal, and a payslip that shows I'm a remote FTE) to submit. They asked for a 'Guarantee letter from the company implies that you work remotely' so I'm putting those 3 together.
I've read that LA wants a statement clearly saying that we 'do not intend to conduct any business in Thailand or engage in business activities with Thai nationals or entities, and also that we do not seek local employment'. How can I show this? I've drafted a cover letter to state this information since the above documents mentioned does not state this piece of information anywhere. I will not go to HR to have them sign off this letter and I also don't really want to go to my director for it. Is there any other way? Does it have to include a wet signature? Can I be the one to draft it on my university letterhead? Can I sign off the letter myself?
Just got my Visa approved! It took many months as I originally had applied for LTR because I meet all the requirements but there was an issue with my employment situation regarding me being a contractor and my contracting company not willing to release financials, so I switched to DTV and the process took about a month. I used THAI VISA CENTRE - visa agent. After they submitted everything to the LA embassy I flew to Thailand and my visa was issued after about 15 days. Now all I have to do is fly out of Thailand to activate it.
Someone applied as a german and got an idea what i can give them as a business license? do i have to ask my employer for that? its an GbR. Im just an employee
