DTV approved!! I wanna share my experience with the applying members. I got lots of help from the members of this group. Thank you everyone šŸ™šŸ™šŸ™.

I got approved in Vientiane, Laos. My walk-in appointment on Dec 11 and collected my passport on Dec 13.

(Note: After Dec 20 Thai Embassy in Vientiane will be closed until January 1 to upgrade their system to e-visa application)

My previous visa was in Thai language school.

I am working remote for a Singapore-based company. I applied under "workcation as a remote worker" category.

This is the list of documents I submitted

- Letter of request for visa approval

- Filled out Visa application form

- Portfolio (Resume)

- Education background and career related certificates

- Employment Contract

- Payslips since contract started

- Verification Letters from my Employer Company (employment certificate, remote work verification, visa sponsorship letter)

- Company registration docs (Singapore ARCA docs since my employer is Singapore-based)

- Bank statement 6-month (some say 3-month okay but I submitted 6 to be safe. I used Bangkok Bank account)

My employment contract with the Singapore-based company started in October. I submitted my Oct, Nov payslips. But the officer gave them back to me over the counter.

I wrote a neat cover letter "Request for Visa Approval" mentioning my purpose to apply for DTV. The officer carefully read it and asked me a few questions about my remote job.

I saw that the most important documents the officer carefully checked were

- Employment contract

- Company verification letters

- Company registration docs (Singapore ARCA)

- Bank statement

I submitted a 6-month statement of my Thai Bank account I opened with my language school visa.

The officer carefully checked transactions at the end of each month. I think it should be an account you are using regularly.

Lucky for me my company supported all the necessary documents and everything went well at the embassy.

I got lots of help from the members of this group. Thank you everyone.šŸ™šŸ™ šŸ™

And I hope everyone will get approved and live in your dream country.

I was asked this as pictured, however, I donā€™t have a company registration so I gave them my employers company number which I had already applied.

Anyone else get this?

DTV Granted HCMC (Ho Chi Minh City) 29/11/24

UK Citizen

Workcation Category

Not a freelancer; I work for an international company

Flew to DMK same day - no issues at immigration

Maybe a unique case - I was travelling Thailand, Laos, Malaysia and Vietnam in the 6 months prior to application. I got my job as I was leaving Thailand to go to Borneo

Applied 21/11, submitted:

- Passport photo

- 6 months of bank statements + brief cover letter

- I only had the ąøæ500,000 in my account a week prior to application (I have no idea who lets that amount of money sit in their account rather than somewhere useful).

- Flight itinerary, hotel booking and Vietnam visa stamp as proof of location

- Compnay contract and certificate of employment detailing that I can work globally

Request for extra documents 26/11:

- Photos of every single passport page (sent as pdf, included the front and back cover too)

- Clear photo of Vietnam visa (sent)

- 6 months of bank statements, again (sent)

- 6 months of salary slips (I sent a cover letter instead explaining that I didnā€™t have any yet as I was a new hire. My contract has the date stated the weird American way (MM/DD/YYYY) so I cleared that up). I attached my contract and certificate of employment again).

Granted afternoon of 29/11/24

Ask any questions. I used this page as a resource, Iā€™m happy to help

Advice needed

I've been employed remotely for a US company for the last three years. I have my employment contract, money in the bank, a letter from my employer stating remote work is acceptable and tax returns for the last two years showing income from remote work. However, I've been taking an extended holiday for the last 6 months so I don't have proof of income during that time. I've started working again but won't be paid for a month or so.

Anyone know if this is likely to be an issue? Thanks in advance.

DTV - London evisa approved - workcation

Relatively easy with the right docs.

Provided:

Letter from employer addressed to the Thai Embassy in London saying I have permission to work in Thailand.

Scan of Drivers license (the card)for proof of address.

Bank statement showing about Ā£13,000 - I asked my bank to send me a statement for just a few days so it did not contain any transactions.

Proof of visa payment

Extra document was requested about 24 hours after the initial application- contract of employment.

After submitting the requested document, the visa was approved on a Sunday 48 hours later.

Only slightly worrying part of the process was that when I first went to pay for the visa, the system sent me some weird error message and I couldnā€™t pay. To solve the issue , I just completed the forms again and on the 2nd attempt, the payment portal worked.

UPDATE: APPROVED!

Yesterday I submitted application for workation DTV at HCMC. The form by default does not have an upload section for all the docs rumored to be needed (letter of permission, business registration), so rather than combining lots docs into one, I just submitted only what was asked for and hopefully they reach out for the additional ones.

- bank statement

- portfolio

- proof of current location (I took a photo of entry stamp at Danang)

- photo

Crossing fingers!!!

Does anyone have a sample of certificate of employment letter for DTV ? What does it have to contain?

Hi All. So I am about to apply for the DTV for remote work. The company I work for is owned by my brother though, and I am not sure if that could potentially be an issue.

I was thinking to combine my letter of employment, a pdf of the about us page on his website that shows me along with his other employees, and then the incorporation proof from the government website (which shows the company owner).

Do you think the fact that it's a company owned by a family member could be an issue?

Hi all, I am about to issue the DTV as a remote worker (employee) in Hanoi. I made the following documents and I would like to confirm that I did not forget anything:

1. Bank statement (confirming I am the account owner)

2. Bank account balance of over 500K in the last 6 month

3. Payslips from the employer for the last 6 months

4. Employment contract stating that I can work remotely

5. employer letter stating that I can work remotely

What am I forgetting here, beside the visa form, passport copy and address in Vietnam?
