Last month, I rented a house as a tourist on a one year lease because it was close to the hospital which i get treatment from. next month, I'm going to apply for a DTV soft power category. I know that I don't have to submit my house lease contract with other application papers, but I want to show the embassy that I really will get treatment from the hospital and i have enough funds for DTV (i just want to make sure that i get dtv. I'm hearing a lot of rejections lately). So I thought, maybe showing them the lease papers may make things easier for me to get a visa. My question is, is it illegal to sign a one year lease contract while holding a 60-day visa on arrival stamp in Thailand? if I submit these papers to the Embassy for DTV application, will I get rejected? DTV visa bank account opening update October 2024

I have the following documents:

- Thai driving license

- Residency certificate

- passport ofcoz

- My foreign bank account reference letter and bank statement

- my home country ID card

- My foreign bank credit cards

- Thai speaking friend with me

- My US company incorporation certificate - I own the company

Unbelievable, with all these documents, they all rejected me for no reason. The staffs were all rude to me. I went to all the banks in Bangkok, HQs. You name it, all the banks.

Some people at the front of the bank laughed at me. It's annoying me. I will go through with agent soon.

Does anyone being treated like this or anyone able to open bank account with DTV visa successfully?

Hello, does anybody has the AIS App? I bought at the airport an SimCard. Its written on it Prepaid. The package with 40GB till 31.10 is almost over and i want more internet. What if the GB are used. Can i just load money up per App? Also with this package where is written for excampel - 40GB /30 Days? Cause in AIS App u can TOP with Money but if u load money on the App, there is no difference at the GB showen. I m somewhere where almost nobody speaks english. We are trying to decide between a new SUV. She wants a Toyota Fortuner. I am leaning towards a Ford Everest. I'm looking for opinions and pros/cons about them both.

As I often misunderstand Thai Immigration Rules I wanted to double check with the experts before I leave for vacation this month.

I am an American citizen/passport holder. I have a current Thai Non-O visa and Extension of stay expiring in May 2025.

I will obtain a Re-entry Permit before I leave Thailand.

My 90 day is not due before I leave.

I will return Jan 2025. I don't know of anything else I need to do before Re-entry. I also believe my 90 starts upon arrival in Jan.

Do I have everything correct?

My application got approved after three weeks of applying, I applied in Munich Germany , as self employed portfolio manager and Author, submitted documents: professional portfolio, approve of address ( they requested National ID for that as in German ID your home address is written in back of the ID card) ,

Official portfolio PDF document from my Broker showing my holdings (worth around 7 million Thai B ), a photo and a copy of my passport. After submitting in two weeks they requested Business registration (Gewerbeanmeldung) I replied with an official letter that I don’t have a business registration in Germany and explained my work nature that doesn’t require a formal business registration and as how flexible it is that perfectly fit for a digital nomad , as alternatives for the business registration I submitted my income reports since I started managing my portfolio and my tax return reports showing that im paying taxes and I am legit regarding my income and my Tax record.

After my application experience I believe that it really depends on the consulate where you are applying and their flexibility. Not all are for 100% the same.

I’m on a non O volunteer visa and the first 90 days expires soon. Seems like I can’t get an extension due to work permit issues. I only need another 60 days to finish my tasks.

Can I do a border run and return same day with a tourist 60 day visa?

What’s the process and best way to do this from Chiang Mai?

Applied for workcation as an IT freelancer.

Submitted documents:

- Passport

- Bank statement (1 month) showing required balance

- Picture

- Residence certificate since my national id card is expired

- Tax registration as freelancer

Before submitting i properly cancelled my ED visa and flew back to Germany and applied immediately after my return. 4 days later, consulate requested an employment contract or certificate as additional documents. However, I replied i‘m a freelancer, resubmitted tax registration and 2 purchase orders from my customers (3 month contracts). Another 4 days later i got approved without any further questions.
