* Im a bit confused with this type of visa :

One-year non-immigrant visa Thailand multiple-entry: This visa allows you to enter and exit Thailand multiple times. If you opt for this route, you can upgrade it to a business visa once your work permit application has been successfully processed.

Can you extend this visa annually and keep the business without a workpermit? Or do you get it only one year to start the business?

I’m on a non O volunteer visa and the first 90 days expires soon. Seems like I can’t get an extension due to work permit issues. I only need another 60 days to finish my tasks.

Can I do a border run and return same day with a tourist 60 day visa?

What’s the process and best way to do this from Chiang Mai?

Hi, my south korean friend has Non-B visa, work petmit and he has Re-entry stamp on his old passport. He went back to South Korea and he got his new passport there last month. When he re-entered to Thailand he showed both his old passport and new passport. He didn’t check the arrival stamp from the airport immigration until today. He just noticed that the airport immigration officer stamped the tourist visa for 90 days on new passport, not stamp the re-entry stamp as he should get because he has the re-entry on his old passport.

Should he go back to the airport immigration even though it already passed for a month?

Thank you

Hi, I have a bit of a situation pertaining to granting a Non- Immigrant B Visa. I have worked in Thailand in the past and held a work permit. Now I am wanting to come back- looking at what I need to submit for a non-b these days I see that they need a copy of my old work permit. Alas, I do not have this as I gave it back to my old employer. New employer is asking for it, but it would seem that the old employer cannot help with this. I am trying to get the visa in London before I travel. Would it be easier to get the visa in Laos? I am worried about losing out in a good opportunity because of this at the moment.

My husband is here on a non-immigrant RA visa that is valid until April 23, 2023. My visa is a non-immigrant O visa that is valid to July 21, 2022. The plan was that as soon as my husband gets his work permit, then I will take that & other needed documents to apply for an extension. At the moment, there is a problem with the work permit and it may not be resolved before my visa expires. Is there an extension I can apply for until the work permit situation is sorted out or should I make plans to leave the country?

Hi everyone, I have a question. What happened if the birth of date is wrong on work permit? Is it ok or should I tell the company to fix it? Thanks!

Hello ! I had a first non-immigrant B that I got at Bangkok Immigration but the teacher agency didn't manage to get my work permit and it's of course required to renew my visa (long story short, some department wouldn't accept my bachelor degree). I changed my plans and I'm now going to move back to my home country with my wife from the end of March. My question is simple and I couldn't find an answer yet, as I'm going to apply for a 60-day covid extension once my visa is canceled, how could I cancel my non-B visa without holding a work permit? Thank you! :)

Hi. I hope everyone is well.

I wanted to get some opinions on whether or not it’s possible to change a Non Ed visa to be a Non B one without leaving Thailand. I know the usual process is that you would have to change it from outside the country. But because of some covid restrictions, and the number of rising cases in Thailand, some might not be able to travel outside.

I was on an ED visa until last year. After I graduated, they gave me the Covid Extension because of the travel restrictions caused by the pandemic (I’m not sure if they just extended my ED visa or they changed it to a tourist visa). I eventually got a job offer and they did some paperwork for me as well. When I recently went to try change my visa to a non b they told me that because I came into the country with an Ed visa, so it’s difficult to change. They then advised me to try go get a work permit first then come apply for a Non B.

When my school consulted with the Ministry of Labor they said they can’t give me a work permit because of the ED visa. So now all parties involved are stuck and not sure what to do.

This is also new for the school that I want to work for. They haven’t seen a case like this before, so they don’t know how to proceed.

If there is anyone here with positive feedback on this issue, I’d really welcome it.

Thanks in advance for all responses.

Hello just checking that we can still apply for the covid visa? My work permit expires in august (non immigrant b employment visa valid till 15 september) but my office says they cannot renew wp for 1 month. I'm applying for an ed visa now. But I won't get it before 11th August. The option to not overstay then is to apply for the covid visa. Any help will be appreciated.
