Hey everyone. So anyone have an experience with the evisa system? Does it actually go to the consulate in the country you are in? Or does it go to like a central embassy in Thailand?

WORLD RECORD DTV APPROVAL! 🤩

Using E-visa, we submitted our DTV applications (US passports) to the Los Angeles consulate at 4am and got approved before 1pm the SAME DAY…less than 9 hours!! (Really about 4 hours since they don’t open until 9am.)😳😎

From researching posts, I expected at least a 1 month processing time and the possibility of it being rejected or delayed with additional info requests.

Thanks to everyone’s excellent posts, we double checked everything and provided extra info. I really appreciated the information and examples. Even though we are a married couple, we applied individually under the remote worker category as we are co-owners of our LLC (short term rentals).

Here’s the list of information we provided:

1. Bio page of passport (doubled checked names and spaces on self populating application)

2. Recent photos

3. Copies of drivers license to show location

4. 6 months of individual personal bank statements with a summary cover letter for each of us

5. Employment (see below)

Employment:

1. Cover Letter (intro, what our business is and what we love about Thailand)

2. Affidavit (stating facts about our business)

3. Proof of business

a. State Cert of Org

b. State NCO form

c. State Business License

d. City business license

4. Remote Worker Policy (thanks to whoever suggested this!)

5. Business proof of Income:

a. Financial Statement (I created a Profit and Loss Statement from Jan 1)

b. Screenshot of all bank deposits since Jan 1

c. business bank statements since Jan 1 (just 1st summary page).

Good luck!

On the application they ask you how you plan to enter the country and where.

- Are you bound to coming in the same exact what way?

- What if I decide not to fly or arrive at a different city, am I obliged to somehow update my itinerary?
