Hi Ben, I had a similar issue. Initially, stamped in for 30 days and then corrected for the full 60. My Passport stamp is now correct but, the tm6 stamp is not. I believe
@Robert ******
is correct, as only last week I had to present the tm6 to get my extension of stay and no mention was made of the incorrect stamp. All that matters (I'm assuming) is that your correct dates are in the system, as well as, the correct admitted until stamp date in your passport. Hope this helps

If you apply on a Tuesday or a Wednesday its relatively quiet. Get there around 7:30am.

You shouldnt have any issues. It's approximately 1 year of back to back in/out before Malaysian IO start to ask questions. People I know who have had issues getting in were asked to show a onwards flight, if they didnt have this, then they were asked to buy one on the spot and were then allowed in.

Thanks to everyone who gave their advice. I really appreciate their help. I successfully managed to get the correct stamp date.

So it might help others in the future; I originally stamped in at the Nong Khai border with a SETV obtained from Laos, but instead of getting the correct 'admitted until' date I only received 30 days. I travelled to and then asked immigration at Don Mueng International Airport (I originally arrived at the Domestic side but walked across to the international side) if they could amend the stamp date, but was informed I would have to fly back to the Nong Khai border. Today I headed to CW where I was asked to go to the k1 section. I was then informed that I was in the system with the correct dates for a SETV but the stamp in my passport was incorrect. I was given a 'Application' form to fill in (location of crossing, transport type, passport number, etc) and asked to get 4 photocopies of pages in my passport and sign each. The photocopies were of: Info page / Visa Page / Stamp (with the incorrect 'admitted until' date) / and my tm.6 info card which she had stapled to one of my passport pages). It pretty much took less than 10 mins from the moment I was first seen and was free to do - other than the photocopies (8 baht), which I got from one of the shops downstairs. Hope this helps.

Hi Robert, thank you for your advice. I literally just left CW and successfully corrected my stamp date. As you said, they were super quick and it was relatively pain free too. thanks.

Hi Robert, you mentioned that there was a ‘special desk’. I’m at CW now. The information desk didn’t seem to quite know where to send me. In the end he choose section k1 (visa on arrival / exception / transit visa) I wondered if this seemed correct to you?

Thanks for your reply
@Robert ******
. I will follow your advice.

I'm considering going to Chang Watthana, tomorrow, but I suspect
@Lloyd *******
suspicions to be correct and I will have to go back to the Nong Khai border

Apologies, I wondered if you had a idea about what my options might be? Immigration at dmk couldnt help.

You will be fine! Immigration are on the lookout for people who are living in thailand and working - multiple back to back visas, each time staying the full amount each visa will grant them. Your movements are those of a tourist. If you had any concern and want to be on the safe side, then as others have mentioned, you can carry 10,000 baht (in cash), have a booking of where you will be staying (a couple of days up till a week should be fine) and a onward flight/coach ticket out of the country. Good luck!
